Jim Harbaugh. THAT is the "college" coach who needs to be back in the NFL.

Do you think when he was wearing his Panthers helmet, throwing, that he may one day coach the Panthers to a Superbowl?

David Tepper. This is your next move.

I have to admit, out of all prospects, I personally like this the best. We get a NFL coach with NFL experience, we then solidify the players and build a franchise. I believe Harbaugh gives us the best chance to win, and win now (2-3) years.

I don’t get this whole build a coaching staff around cam. He isn’t the future or a franchise qb. Plus you don’t build around a player unless it’s Brady or Rodgers etc.

I think a coaching staff that has the ability to develop a drafted QB would be better.

I just don't think his personality and coaching style work long-term with pro athlete grown men and I think he probably realizes that himself. He's better suited for the college game with younger guys.

He prove he could win in the NFL, so I believe that hurts your take. I mean most players dont stay long on rosters, 8 years is rare now-a-days. Hed have a new group in before they turned on him. I do not think he and Tepper would get along, like AT ALL. I think after meeting one another, Tepper would leave with a true hate for him. Finally no shot he leaves his comfy job for panthers, unless Tepper made him the highest paid in football history. Bad fit form area, owner, and people. still Jim>>>>>> rhule

    • These kickers are getting so good
    • They're pretty far off, double T-Mac's stats to get to the same targets as XL and it would be 4 drops to 7.  A 3 drop difference might not sound like a lot, but it's still almost twice as many drops on the same number of targets. Not to mention, if I remember correctly, XL's drop problems last year seemed more down field, where he was dropping passes he should be making and it was clear his poor hands were there reason he dropped them. And weren't both of T-Mac's drops this year on quick hitters with blockers out in front of him?  I know at least the second one was as he was going to go for a huge play and maybe a TD on it. To me, and yes, I'd say this about any other player, those are drops because a rookie was trying to do too much in making a play before securing the catch.  Much easier to improve upon a lapse in concentration than dropping passes because you have bricks for hands and body catch more often than hands catch, like with XL. And yes, 100%, which is why I wasn't one of those people you were referring to with talking about him that way last year.  Yes, I said he had drop problems., because he did, but I didn't think they were unsolvable and expected to see great improvement this year after an offseason of hitting the juggs machine (unfortunately not sure that happened though).
