Classic fencing response.

That was a bad knockout.

Yep, really bad.  He was even rigid/seizing while being carted away, and the fencing response is supposed to last only for seconds after the initial impact.  It looked more like this while being carted, though: https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/003300.htm#start as opposed to the fencing response he had right after the hit.  This was more unsettling than Shazier’s since he even shifted from that fencing response into what looked more like decorticate posture

    • I'll take this draft!
    • In the past there was always debate about winning or losing for a draft pick.  We’re finally playing for something but what if it means  Bryce and Canales for another 5 years?     Ultimately, I always want to win the game and I want to us  to win the division because God knows when they’ll be in a position to do it again but I can’t help but wonder what the best long-term outcome should be? I know that I am full of contradictions at the time and I can’t help but being conflicted about how to feel going into this game. At the beginning of the season I would’ve taken in a heartbeat  to be in a position to play the Bucs for the division title. However context and how you get there matters and I don’t feel that the team is deserving having lost to Saints twice and while nobody expected us to win against the Seahawks, the way we lost is absolutely embarrassing. I just don’t know if I can handle every other game that offense looking like the worst passing offense I have ever seen…
    • I felt like we came out the gates this way though. I understand Seattle’s defense is top notch and their secondary can lock it down, but playing scared is not the way to win in this league. It seemed like the gameplan was to keep the ball away from their DBs and take safe secure underneath passes. It doesn’t make sense when we saw their defense get lit up 10 days earlier.    It’s not to say Young and Canales are cut from the same cloth as McVay and Stafford, but there’s tape on how to move the ball against the Hawks. It’s more frustrating when Darnold played awful and we contained their running game outside of the Charbonet run too.    3-3 at halftime and this staff couldn’t make tweaks and tinker a bit to put points on the board. Sad.
