Rhule… in garbage time… not gonna let Cam finish his last home game at BOA? I hate this man!

Remove the bias on whatever your feelings are for Cam. No reason for our stadium to boo Sam on his first snap back when he has virtually the same number of spectacular games as he does shitty ones.

Y’all continue to worry about who our franchise QB is going to be and need to start worrying about who the hell would even want to play for this franchise. It’s FUBAR from Tepper all the way down to all of you.

Name one spectacular game he has had here.

You Darnold nut huggers are hilarious. Imagine being enamored with the worst QB this franchise has ever seen.

Are you a Rhule alt?

His first 3 games this season were arguably better than anything anyone has delivered for us in the last 3 years.

That said,  it wouldn’t bother me at all if Darnold or Cam for that matter are here next year. That separates me from about 95% of you on here as I’m able to remove the bias from my lens. Not sure how that designates me a Darnold hugger but feel free to categorize me however you see fit because I’m not worshipping the ground on which the shell of Cam J Newton walks.

I’ll reiterate I’m attached to literally no one from the owner to the players and the staff. We could cut ties with literally everyone and I wouldn’t bat an eye as that’s how much I care at this point.

If we are getting caught up in semantics than his “Spectacular” games were the first 3 in the sense that he was able to complete most his passes, get the ball downfield, and limit turnovers. All three categories that no one has been able to achieve here in quite some time.

By definition, no one at QB has been spectacular here since 2015 Cam.

If you had no bias, you would see how Darnold was missing open guys in those three games, as well.

The only thing he wasn't doing was turning the ball over like gangbusters.

He was better than now but that's a pretty low bar to hit. Sort of like the "Kyle Allen Baby GOAT" crowd when he had his little streak(with glaring issues while we were winning).

Or the The Golden Calf of Bristol "WeLl He'S wInNiNg GaMeS!" guys.

Some of this stuff is fairly obvious and the obvious issues were there for Darnold in his first three games, they just weren't as glaring.

Finally, as for the "best performances of the last three seasons" by QB Rating, Darnold's BEST performance was 10th in the past three seasons and the third best this season.

So....yeah.

Not arguing that he hasn’t been trash. He’s just been the most polished trash for at least a few games.

That behind said this isn’t a Sam apologetics seminar. It’s a bash our shitty fan base post.

What was the argument for spectacular games about? Especially since technically Cam's first two games in 2021 he had a better QB rating. Were those also spectacular games?

I got news for you, zero spectacular games have happened by Panthers QB's in 2021.

I like how the huddle collectively fixates on semantics instead of actually generating discussion. If you had any reading comprehension you’d see I’ve already stated Sam sucks along with Cam and PJ.
“Spectacular” is hyperbolic language as we’ve had nothing shy of mediocre to horrible  for several years now. Sam for a time just looked less worse and I was willing to give him a pass after having his scapula broken for a game or two.

I can't believe anybody still defends cam's play.

This place will collectively poo on you if you utter anything resembling a negative comment toward Cam. Even if it’s truthful. He’s not the main problem but in 2021 he’s far from the solution.

So you are just saying you are talking out of your ass?

Okay. Got it, Matt.

    • TAMU had such a weird draft. Usually you'd be bragging your ass off about three DL drafted in the top two rounds except that the narrative around all three was about how badly they were misused by TAMU. LOL
    • Many Panthers fans are already excited about second-round selection Nic Scourton for a variety of reasons including but not limited to: the Panthers needed to recharge the position group, Scourton had a late first-round grade according to many (including the Panthers), and he fit this season's modus operandi of stopping the run now and forever. However, Scourton was seen early on as one of the top-3 EDGE guys in this class but fell due to not having quite the season at Texas A&M as he did prior at Purdue (his sophomore season). It's been revealed since then a few different things that speak to that dip in production... Texas A&M, for one, requires each player on their line to be able to hold two gaps. This also explains why we saw low production across the board from the other two TA&M prospects but were still being heavily touted. Scourton was also said to have bulked up to 280lbs in order to fulfill this role and noticeably suffered from it. He's expected to play this season with Carolina at 255 - 260 which is very different from most situations. In most situations, teams are wanting players to gain 15 - 30. Since Scourton is going to be playing at his Purdue weight, I thought it would make sense to dive more into that tape. Y'all... we might have gotten something special... Let's take a quick peek at the stats before we start drooling over some highlights. First, a summary of the last two seasons for Scourton: Second, the game splits: The first thing that pops up for me is how Scourton's sack numbers were cut in half his senior year. We've already pointed out issues with scheme that impacted the TA&M linemen from racking up numbers, but seeing the game splits it's clear that Scourton didn't exactly feast on inferior competition while at Purdue. He had two two-sack games (vs. Michigan (2023 - 2024 champs), Indiana) and a 10-tackle game (vs. Nebraska). I also see the 2024 games where he went up against two top-10 tackles (Will Campbell from LSU + Armand Membou from Missouri) that I watched leading up to the draft.  For those who just want a summary: Scourton looked elite at Purdue and is going to be rotating in often during his rookie campaign. I originally had him penciled in as the second-string, strong-side edge defender behind Clowney but I wouldn't be surprised to see the team have him and Pat Jones II moving around when they rotate in in order to find where Nic looks best. Here's a highlight reel to replace that Cialias you lost in your recliner tonight:   For those that want a little more: Below I'll be linking the linking the five games I've mentioned above. If you plan to watch all of them, I highly recommend going in the order listed as that will allow you to see him vs. Campbell and then Membou while dealing with the aforementioned things he dealt with at Texas A&M before seeing him look unstoppable in 2023 when he was allowed to play both at a comfortable weight and in a scheme that didn't require him two cover two gaps nearly every play. vs. Will Campbell (2024) vs. Armand Membou (2024) vs. Nebraska (2023) vs. Michigan (2023)   vs. Indiana (2023)
    • Yea, i honestly think he had almost as much say as Dan.  One of the main reasons I think that is Eager has said before he was ever with the Panthers, that you trade away picks for a qb and for any other position you do pick swaps, and that's exactly what we did.
