I like Leftwhich too much to send him to the Jags. I just don't think anyone coach or GM can offset their Owner's awfulness.

Hell, I would like him here honestly. That is a coach that we could grow with that looks like he has potential and not just salesmanship to ownership.

Why?

"Crime" actually plays a role in the story given that Bieniemy has a not insignificant arrest record, including at least one that included a charge of violence against a woman.

That's definitely something teams are gonna consider in this day and age.

This is nothing against Bieniemy but so far other than Pederson how successful has Reid’s tree really been?

Sounds possible they may be focused on retreads for now, but a lot of folks expect them to give their former QB (Leftwich) an interview at some point.

It will end up being Leftwich. Kahn seems to go for the storyline in his decision making much like Hurney did.

Truth is, he would be a much better HC for Lawrence than Meyer could ever be.

Yea, there is a LOT to unrap with him...IMO.

Also, how much was covered up due to him being King of Castle in college.

P.S. I don't ever subscribe to hiring Reid's OC's.

Reid's coaching tree is highly inconsistent.

As far as cover ups, hate to say it but there might also be some of that in Kansas City.

Likeable as Andy Reid may be, his own sons aren't exactly angels.

I really like Bieniemy until I ran across that. A man can change and reform, but our luck with chance taking has not been good for the last couple of years.

We have to remember that the Raiders are out there in the hunt for a new coach. They are going to be the prime landing spot of the top/best candidate if not every candidate.

They are a team ready to compete in a new facility, huge fanbase and the ability to draw star players (except for A. Brown I guess). And it wouldn't be the first time a coach was able to pick up the leavings of Jon Gruden and make a big splash right away.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
