I can’t name one.

at least other bad teams have some hope they can hand their hat on.  New coaches coming in.  And basically every bad team minus the Giants finished with on the upswing.

Yeah at least Jacksonville has their future franchise QB.  The Jets have a lot of good young pieces on the o line, and also their future franchise QB.  The Lions ended the season very strong and have a really good coach, IMO.  We have absolutely jack poo.

I dont want this idiot making our picks this year, Ive been a big proponent of wanting to trade down but what is the point if all those picks will just be wasted. Pray that Neal guy from Bama is available at 6 and at least we can come out of this draft with a solid new LT.

I want Neal BADLY.  Unfortunately, I think that is a pipe dream at best.  Hes probably going 1 overall to the Jags.  Definitely won't make it past the Giants ahead of us.

What exactly is controversial about Rhule's comments?

It's not "controversial" so much as it is just plain stupid.  He's simply doubling down on the same stupid things he's been saying all season long regarding his evaluations of players.

I see it more as he's explaining the decision making process at the time in regards to "why not Slater".

Anyone paying attention should also take note that those comments indicate the Panthers won't take IOL in the top 10.

Yes, he explained the decision making process.

And based on what we've learned since the decision was made, it's pretty clear the process was...wrong.

(and I'm being generous)

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
