Malik Willis “Lots to like”

This video has me hyping on Malik. Kid is a hoss for his height and that arm is big money. He def needs some coaching but the concept that was mentioned in the old man’s bag today : “dump Darnold, sign Cam to mentor Malik for 2022” is sounding pretty attractive.

I’ll always stand by drafting a player with the physical talent edge over being pro ready. However having rhule in charge of any players development is problematic

That philosophy would tend to fug you more times then not

 

off the top of my head physical specimens that suck.  Trubusky, Jordan Love,  Daniel Jones, Haskins, Russell, Darnold, Wentz

 

I am sure there are more but those just jump to my mind.

Why are we hyping guys that would likely have been 2nd or 3rd round picks at best last year. This is not the year to snatch a QB at 6.

There isn't much else to talk about and despite early hype next years QB class could have it's share of duds too. And you can't make plans with a pick we don't have. There's no guarantee we will be picking in the top 10 again.

I wouldn’t sleep on Wentz. Go look at his numbers this year with a garbage WR room, they’ll surprise you. People forget he was an injury away in the late late regular season from winning the MVP. We should have gotten him over Darnold last year

If you look at this Draft by in terms of BPA ... a LT would go before Willis every time a million times over. Don't reach for a QB this Draft bc Sam is trash. Get the better pick in LT, then get a QB next year. You don't draft with a top pick HOPING he pans out. Call it the Armanti Edwards Principal.

I'm not making plans with next year's QB class or that we will have the ability to even get a QB. But you don't draft a player out of desperation. We have needs that can be filled at 6 with LT or possibly trade down for more assets. We need to look at what's best for the team as a whole and if we think Willis is the biggest difference maker, then that's who we should take. Unfortunately, the guy who's going to make that decision also thought he was fleecing the Jets to get Sam Darnold.
