My company is actually doing user research on how to get more engagement for the franchise right now.

we are getting some really interesting feedback (outside of put a winning product on the field). The researchers that are on this have interviewed a ton of people, all types of fans.

the interesting part is that even though the panthers aren’t winning, the majority said they would still attend and follow the team.

now… when we spoke to fans by proxy, the results were brutal. Fair weather fans dissipate real fast.

the engagement is supposed to end in March, im looking forward to the results from the team.

Do research after the draft and free agency and near the preseason, hopes will soar as they do every season

The NFL is basically another form of socialism for the rich. The Cowboys bring in a fortune and share it with the Panthers and other poop teams with hardly any fans.

The NFL has become a QB competition with the current rules in place. Most football fans just want to watch great QBs in a shootout, and the other teams look incompetent and boring. Then you have the gambling addicts and bookies who are only interested in fueling their addiction or making money.

The Panthers will be as popular and good as their QB. No QB, no fans other than diehards. That's why I harp on Watson and QB limbo and all that. We're the Carolina Darnolds, and that is impossible to sell to anyone.

Time of year won’t really change our approach or responses. It’s not about hype but rather the what, why, and how. We are being pretty intentional based on our convos with the leadership group at t sports.

ultimately it will lead to a change in the digital experience, stadium experience and branding of the panthers.

Right now…lots of truth here

Just saying, you know as well as I that most fan bases feel the belief just before the preseason more than any time.  The Bengals success only fuels this IMO

I would venture there are fewer diehard fans. Fair weather fans are the nature of the game.  It's the diehard fans that build the real culture of the team.

That culture seems to be in disarray and has been for quite some time. I suppose that is part of "the process " we keep hearing about. I do not know about you folks but I do not recognize this franchise anymore.  It's like watching a USFL team against the NFL.

Like all diehard Panthers fans I will admit being a Panthers fan even when they suck.  I will laugh along with those who ridicule me for doing so. It's what we do.  Someday we hope to be avenged for our suffering.

But there is a limit to such loyalty.  Tepper is pushing that limit for me. I no longer feel connected, part of the family of Panther fans who believe in the team.  Even if we knew it was an up hill battle to be serious contenders.

TL/dr: I'm getting fed up with this team.

Yeah I am following. I get your point. I will say this as a continuation of the topic, I was able to sit in on two of the blind interviews….

these two fans were able to speak to the stadium experience like it was their daily lives, I was pretty impressed. Then of course when asked when they became panthers fans…. 2012 🙄

I remember when I cared about being a “real” fan lol.

Ive lost interest, but I’m not completely gone. A couple more seasons like last, and I’ll probably be gone. It’s not fun when you’re not winning and have no real stars on the team.

Go ahead and quit now…it is too much for you
