Judging from Fitt's Comments, Reddick isn't coming back.

Said he talked to his reps there at the combine and Reddick has earned the right to explore the market, coming off two straight years of double digit sacks, and he should see how much money he can get, and if a team offers him a lot of money, good for him.

Sounds like we are miles apart and that's pretty much Fitt saying, "good luck, we're not paying that."

This sucks.

Omg. Ya didn't even listen.

Yes, he said Riddick has earned the right to test the market, but that they intend to keep communication open, and to see if they'll match an offer.

Yes, he may be gone, we knew that the day he was signed last year.

Doesn't mean we don't stand a chance of retaining him, as they intend to keep communication open.

No, I heard all of it, but the "keeping the dialogue open" comment was just a throwaway.  The takeaway was they were letting him test the market first and basically if he got a great offer we weren't going to touch it.  Sounds like we have a set number we would bring him back at, and if he gets better than that on the market then we won't attempt to match.

Yea forreal wtf was that contract extension about? Tommy Tremble doesn't suck at blocking.

IDK man,  it was absolutely idiotic.  Thomas has not shown he worth more than the NFL minimum at this point, and they just gave his ass 6 million dollars for pretty much next year.  Its madness.

What's wrong with that? That should've been the approach with Ian Thomas.

From what Fitterer also said, McAdoo apparently likes Thomas and has a plan for him. Who knows. I'll stash him on my fantasy football roster bench for sh*ts

Hmmmmm, what has Thomas ever done to give McAdoo that much confidence in his game?  Not like Ben was at practice the last couple years so he must be going off game tape.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
