I guess they decided to pull the trigger when news of Aaron Rodgers broke.  Feels like that was probably their initial target, but I'm just speculating.

That is what I think.  Rodgers is just being a Rodgers-there is not a bigger ego in the NFL

Wilson might have been the target all along. I had my doubts Rodgers was going anywhere, they've been competitive year after year. Seahawks though are smart to go full rebuild. Their roster was poop.

Seahawks are toast.  Russ has carried that team for a long time.

It's probably time to rebuild, but I wouldn't let any of the current front office do it.  They've done a poor job since the 2nd SB appearance.

It certainly makes sense.  I seriously believe Rodgers is addicted to the offseason attention.

I bet they make the playoffs again before the Panthers do

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
