It makes sense if you're also a chicken poo. People worthy of the job would have the guts to tell the truth. When the chips were down she proved herself unworthy. She knew the job she was signing up for and she failed. Lash out at "activists" if that makes you feel better but all you're doing is just admitting that you're ba coward who would've done the same thing. Congrats.

And again, you're saying "lying" and "fake" while also admitting that you understand the process and how it was manipulated here to skirt responsibility. Stay in your feelings. Coward

You’re the one crying about how the prosecutor was a coward and not fair because she didn’t do what you wanted her to do. Boo hoo.

Well if oline and a bad defense rhule us out, they rule Seattle out as well. Hope we enjoy Darnold and Kenny Pickett and then some other rando QB in 3 years.

They also cut the heart and soul MLB Bobby Waggs, why does everyone include them?? Im going to start slapping fools real soon.....

Social justice warriors: “Black men in this country are over-prosecuted!”

Also social justice warriors: “I can’t believe this prosecutor didn’t more vigorously pursue this case against a famous black man when she clearly didn’t think the evidence could yield a conviction!”

If the proposed trade goes through we will not have firsts or 2nds for a time and we will have holes on the oline, dline, linebacker and safety positions as well as having to sign moore on top of cmacs crazy ass deal.   Maybe you can see a way out of this mess if we trade for watson but it looks like a lump of poo to me.  Giving up our best defensive players and multiple years of day 1 and 2 picks is a tough hole to dig out of

And all this assumes Watson plays and doesn’t get injured.  Behind our as is OL that ain’t happenin

This whole discussion is so ridiculous I can’t really imagine any NFL front office even entertaining it

Best case for Watson is to just figure out what team he wants to play for. Then only accept a trade to that team and leak it. That drastically reduces the trade value and keeps the team that probably trades for him from losing tons of draft capital and valuable starters. Idk, I’m just a drunk atm but it makes sense.

Checking his contract it appears he would be signed through 2025.  So at least he couldn’t bolt after 2 seasons

He forced his way out of Houston after signing that extension. Just because he's under contract doesn't mean he will want to stay if things go badly.

Without reading ALL 18 freakin' pages to this thread. . .is it possible the Watson trade doesn't go down until the day of the draft?

Naw…it probably happens earlier.  Houston will want to know their draft situation and to be honest his worth is high as it gets now

I figured Tepper would pay him $10 million on the side to do exactly this.

    • I think you know. Apparently winning is secondary to Bryce’s development. Same as it has been.     In a way it may be good because we didn’t need to make the playoffs and extend this fuging charade about Bryce being the guy. Better in the long run if he gets enough rope to hang himself with.
    • Dave Canales is not the problem. He just isn't
    • I know DC is overthinking this and he really needs to be OC or HC, but how do you call plays with a QB that in all reality, shouldn't be starting. Bryce is wildly inconsistent. He should lean on Rico and the run game, but if he does and wins, it presents a false narrative that Bryce is better than he is and he's potentially stuck with him for another season. If he doesn't, he looks incompetent as a play caller, but it exposes the ugly side of his QB situation that he really does need a QB that can execute at minimum a basic NFL offense with some decent consistency.  I feel a little sorry for the guy because he was anchored with Young this season and even more weight with Dalton getting a 2 year deal. He has very little to work with at the most important position on his team and it's not his doing. The trade deadline was approaching and it was plainly obvious we needed to do something but we didn't for whatever reason.  I don't think he's a complete bonehead and don't know what he's supposed to do. Win games and potentially keep Bryce or lose them by putting the weight on Bryce's shoulders. Either he succeeds or fails.  As a coach I know you're supposed to play to win the game, but do you win now at the ultimate long term detriment to your team and locker room?
