If Tre is convinced of it, I'm guessing its possible it isn't being rushed through bc from looking at his page, Mathieu is at Disney with his family.  Leolly not super engaged in contract talks right now.

That's what agents are for. He's enjoying his offseason as he should. Only reason i want Honey Badger is because it prob means Chinn is moving back to LB where he belongs.

I've always loved me some Honey Badger, so I agree.  Dude plays so much bigger than his size and just brings a swagger.

Why would Robby Anderson say something about Honey Badger then?

He was @some random Twitter guy who reported Mathieu was in town and going to sign with us.
Look at the FA signings we’ve had so far he wouldn’t fit the type, young short term deals has been Fitt’s style

Mathieu is 30 and looking for his last big payday

To be fair, he probably didn't take his agent on that trip.

I'm not expecting Mathieu, but you never know.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
