Seems like Rhule is taking a page from the playbook of his boss. When you suck at your job, just hide.

It's the best thing to do when you can't keep your mouth shut when you absolutely should.

So for the best of everyone involved they are doing the right thing by staying out off the media.

this is the guy who just traded away all the picks from this class.  Clearly, protecting future picks isn't something he has cared about.

Well, that may not have been entirely his decision, especially with regard to CJ Henderson who we know Matt Rhule was a big fan of.

It's also possible that experience may have changed his mind.

if you can't put your HC out there because of his job as football coach......

he shouldn't be your football coach.  It's pretty simple.

Tepper I guess is what he is.  He owns it and he can't fire himself.

Ok, so basically they wish they had day 2 picks. That's what I got from this. Question is if they can't trade back from 6, can they really just sit around for like 36 hours without a pick? We don't have any players to trade away, teams are gonna want 2023 picks and one of our 5ths

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
