Yep. I just don’t see the major difference between Pickett and Darnold. What does he bring that Darnold doesn’t? You put Darnold on that Pitt team and that schedule and his results are probably really similar..

I also don’t think this org is willing to put Matt Rhule out there to the world with only Pickett to show for in rounds 1-3.   So if they draft Pickett at 6 I think they then start mortgaging our future to get more picks 

Pickett pick would reinforce the press, fans and everyone to poo on Rhule. It’s not a Baylor guy but it’s still the college connect dominating.   And he isn’t good enough to even beat Sam probably out the gate.   And he has no big upside you can claim will be coming.

Id be pissed but still root for the team. I think we need to go LT or OT. Wait for QB next year. If Darnold sucks we will have atleast a Oline built and have a clear reason why we arent winning games.

Pickett is going to end up being a poor man’s Ryan Tannehill. If you put him in an organization like the Steelers he will do pretty well. If you put him with us it’ll be a disaster. We need a true alpha with elite traits. Not a plug in guy.

I find all this draft value stuff baffling. Draft value is only known a couple of years after the draft is over.  If he turns out to be a good quarterback, I won't give a crap where we draft him.

It's more a Pitt social hookup than a pick. You don't have to draft him to get the cheeks Tepper.
