Opinions: are Panthers on phone now trying to cut a deal?

Is it Fitts plan to squeeze his way back in the 3rd round or are they really considering one of the vet's....Mayfield, Jimmy G., or the pirate in a trade. What's your gut feeling about all this. Will he give up the draft or trade capital to do this or not

So does the sucker at every poker table. It's better to be wise than active for the sake of movement.

Yeah, Fit is the new kid at the bargaining table and it shows. The Jets suckered us and we just kept talkin about how well we'd made out.

The problem is that I'm not okay with giving up 2023 draft picks to get back into the draft today.

Trade Robby?  100% on board with it, but I don't think anyone is giving us a 3rd round pick today in exchange for Robby, not a chance.

If anything, maybe give up a 2024 pick 3rd rounder if it can get us into the 3rd round today, but I doubt anyone is doing that either.

If we trade back into today, odds are we'll have to give up something that is too much for us to give up seeing as we are more than likely to have a decent draft slot next season as of right now (I think Baker could put us middle of the pack, but even then, I'd rather have the middle of the round picks than a 3rd rounder this year).

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
