Other teams fans probably wont be that hostile.

Half the stadium mad haha. I think if we hadn't drafted a QB at all/traded for Mayfield it would just be a sad look in the stadium. With Corral you might actually get some hyped fans and sell some jerseys. At the least he won't be boring on field

...start Sam, if he has a reincarnation ok...doubt that will happen...it will be time to insert our new toy...plus...id give Coral all the first team snaps in preseason...

Rhule did it for his boy Chuba. If they don't want Sam to play like last preseason to protect him or whatever, I'm sure Corral would gladly take all those snaps. In his first shitty quality Zoom interview he said he wants the starting job

Rhule is on the hot seat and Corral may be his only savior. If Corral shows he understands the playbook he should start.

If Rhule goes with Darnold and we continue to lose I think putting Corral in late in the season will not save his job.   His best bet is to go with the rookie and let him learn. Plus if Corral starts and loses Rhule has a fall back that "rookies make mistakes and next year he'll be better."

The crowd at BOA has potential to come down loud and hard on Sam.  How many bad games to start off the season would it take for the crowd to get hostile...

Do you really believe any professional coach is going to change his gameplan to assuage some whiny fans🤦‍♂️...

I think Tepper may actually be dumb enough to keep Rhule around regardless of the 2022 results. I know people said he was just saying the PR thing when he talked about the rebuild process being long but if you didn't fire him after last season, why would you fire him after he has another losing season?

I am starting to be of the belief that Tepper has gotten completely rooked by this used car salesman.

Matt Rhule was influenced by the crowd last year if you will recall.   Not just personel but actual play calling.  Maybe you have erased that window from your mind when the boos were coming down hard and loud at BOA.   It’s the entertainment business.  Maybe go revisit that window right before they added Cam Newton to make it go away.

and yeah, a home stadium booing each week does influence things.  If Sam is Sam and comes out playing badly like the guy we saw at the end of the season….the booing would matter if Rhule got overly stubborn.   It’s the entertainment business.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
