Kyler Murray sitting out OTA's

I hope they finally pay the guy so we are not talked about as a possible landing spot anymore. I do not want a QB that does not watch film. Also watching Keim do a mega deal for him would be fugging hilarious on so many levels.

I don't think you can call that food, it's just food shaped mechanically produced slop with little nutritional value.

To be fair, I haven’t eaten there like 20 years. I can’t speak on the quality

Murray is not worth what he thinks he is.

Unfortunately the Browns and Watson have completely upended the QB contract market.  All these mid-level guys are looking to cash in, in a big way.  Which is why we all need to hope and pray that Corral works out for us.  Having our starting QB on a 3rd round rookie contract for the next 3 or 4 years could be a huge boon for us.

Or he could become just an ok QB not top 10 or anything and then act like a little bitch in year 3 and sit out for a new contract.

Murray is setting the example, hopefully it fails, fug this clown.

Not really the same situation though.  Murray was the number 1 overall pick, and has turned the Cards from a joke recently into a contender.  Now, if Corral somehow comes in and leads us to the playoffs in the next couple years, we will have to address that in the future.

A contender for what? A wild card playoff exit? The whole point of drafting rookie QBs is to build around their low salary until you have to pay them.

After the payday Watson got with all that has swirled around him can you honestly blame Murray for wanting a new contract too? Before everyone trips over themselves to bash him prepare for this across the board because thanks to these desperate owners every team with a good QB will be going through this eventually.

Exactly. Watson (and to a smaller extent Rodgers) really set the presidence for the QB position in a lot of ways. Such has having their hand in GM decisions (though yes some GOATS already do this but I suspect non GOATS will whine for it too), and backing out of an already signed contract and refusing to play and if you’re not happy only to be rewarded by another team.  I mean it’s one thing to have input on players on the team, but GMs and HCs?

And that was with bad publicity and looming legal issues. Imagine without those factors. All agents for QBs are paying attention to all of this.

On one hand I see their points if they’re not happy. On the other hand you’re kind of screwing teams by signing the contracts like they aren’t actually contracts in definition. Literally months before going elsewhere.

It’s all about balance in the contract, such as the no trade clause. The team and the player need to be somewhat happy and reasonable. Gone are the days where the QB is just going to suck it up and play for a team they don’t want to. What does a high commodity player lose by breaking the contract? What does the team lose by releasing he player?

I suspect contracts will change in some way or terms or structure in the future to address this more specifically. Especially with first contracts and mid level non GOAT players (Murray). At the same time I don’t think there is much to be done about top level guys (Rodgers) that’s just the benefit of multiple teams willing to pay and offer whatever.

If it hasn't improved in 20 years then that is what it was back then when we both ate their last. It's crap buffet food. I knew a 'cook' there back in school so I also heard plenty about it.

Yeah, it may need it's own thread but we should put an end to it before it starts to grow. But giving him a nickname after a terrible restaurant is just plain dumb. OK Corral is better, but that has to do with an old west shoot out. Cool, I guess? Why don't we let one grow organically, or come up with something original. I don't care if "golden" is a good adj ... all you think about is that nasty food.

Who doesn't want 350 million fully guaranteed?

I know I do. Doesn't matter what I think I'm worth.
