DJ Moore interview

Paraphrasing here...

"Ben MacAdoo, he brought a bunch of new things, things we had my first few years that we kinda got away from but now it's back."

Really have to hear it to feel the impact. It was a "this is an NFL offense again" statement.

Norv Turner was the OC during DJ's first few years. We had a good offensive system until Cam's shoulder fell off

He also praised Darnold but that wont really be mentioned here lol

You were expecting him to publicly bash Sam? It's weird how desperate some folks still are to prop up the worst starting qb in the league. Like I'm trying to be cool about this but after ten years of screams about how the QB needs to win it just baffles me that there are still people going to bat for that performance we witnessed last season.

I mean, what else is he supposed to say?  “Yeah, Sam came in looking like a deer in headlights and keeps talking about ghosts.”  Players pretty much always hype up their teammates in pre-season even when the whole world knows they’re bad.

Admittedly it was nice seeing a bit into Denniston Oliver Moore, Jr. though.  Sounds like he hates his name lol

That is what it is.  "Now that we have ditched the Wishbone offense they ran at Oklahoma in the 70s..."

Its exactly the opposite.  I obviously don't think Sam is the answer at qb.  It's just funny how desperate this place is to run with anything negative that confirms what they think and totally discredit anything positive because it doesn't go along with what they think.  I dont believe he is the solution at qb.  That doesnt mean that is 1000% for sure, nor am I only going to consider things that agree with what I think.

So it's funny how everyone runs with anything negative yet nothing negative about Sam or Rhule or really anyone had been mentioned until you yourself injected it into the conversation.

This was the same thing I took away from this portion, it was clear he wasn't trying to throw Brady under the bus and be a classy individual.

But he seemed happy about the items that are returning, if you haven't listened you should consider it.

Plain and simple..

Experience matters..

Hiring a guy to be OC who has never been a play caller on any level of football.. Is fuging stupid..

Especially when you don't have pro experience yourself..

    • This 1000%.  Hey who wants to sign with the guy that couldn't even get his client the guaranteed contract of a 3rd round pick?  Lmao
    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
