Panther's Secondary This Year.

I am really interested in our secondary this year. There is a lot going on with this Group.

-Steve Wilks taking over

-J. Horn returning from injury

-CJ Henderson getting coached up this offseason and starting fresh

-Djax coming back (and Juston Burris)

-Adding X. Rhodes (and Chris Westry)

What are our expectations for this group? Who are our starters? Who is the Nickel? Will Chinn see more time in the box (Woods has excelled in this role too)? Who plays (deep centerfield) FS when needed? Who gets cut from the CB room (any surprises)?

They're probably going to need to be good because this year's pass rush isn't likely as good as last year's.

Throw in that teams realized they could run on us last year. If they still can, that doesn't help either.

Being able to run and a lesser rush were mutually intertwined.... Reddick was small and terrible at setting the edge, We got better at a DT spot and LB (Carter was a featherweight).

Replacing speed rush with beefy-er guys should bolster the run D along with a new Mike-backer.

I think Dunlap is a UFA signing that is just waiting for the unnecessary mini camp reps that vets usually try to avoid happen. This will help the DL rotation.

To the OP, our secondary has to be a strength both in traits, and depth. Vets and youngsters.

Shaq and Littleton will also pair well in between.

Yep. I wonder if Littleton will keep Chinn on the backend more. I could see him eating some of those Buffalo Nickel reps, but then again Chinn could get more of those with Burris/Robinson and Woods in the lineup. We have a lot of options it seems.

Corner Backs on the Roster; Horn, D.Jax, Henderson, Taylor, Westry, S.T-Oliver III, R. Melvin, Hartsfield (DB/N) and M. Harper (an UDFA). Who starts where? Whats the rotation like? Who gets cut besides Harper? Who handles the nickel if not Hartsfield (or if he gets hurt)?

I expect we keep Horn and Djax as the starting Outside Corners depending on scheme and Hartsfield as the N. Taylor, Westry, and Henderson will rotate in. It would not surprise me to see Horn play some nickel at times depending on how opposing receivers are lining up (especially against Pitts and Atl).

Yeah we need to put Chinn in a position to make plays near the LOS.  I'd like to see his pass rushing moves.

I am excited at the potential. There's a ton of it.  Horn bounces back to his play early last season, CJ puts it together, Jackson actually has one of his "up" years, and Rhodes plays well.

If it all comes together there is a lot to like.  I think it mostly comes down to coaching.  The raw talent in the secondary (we have I think three 9.90+ RAS guys) is there.

Henderson looks like a solid find in the mid-rounds...we took him not because of need but because he was BPA and we were surprised to see him last so late.  He looked good when forced into action due to injuries last year.

I think Horn is going to be an Pro Bowler if he can stay healthy.  A non contact injury is concerning, but he looks the real deal, and when all is said and done, he may be the best corner in Panthers history.

The cornerback group is our strongest area in our defense...we are talented, athletic, deep and young.

I really think Horn being back shuts down his area of the field, which will help our front 7 a lot.

We're once again at the "on paper" optimistic side of things. That side of the pillow warms up pretty fast around here and isn't comfortable for long.

But hey, through training camp, we can dream a bit!

Don't wake me, I'm dreamin'

    • I didn’t like this draft at all. XL, our first pick had one good season out of five and doesn’t have burst off the line.  I wanted Ladd here because I think he’d have been a much better pairing for BY9s weak arm.  We need to be an excellent west coast style offense if Bryce is gonna shine.  A burner that takes 3 steps to get moving and doesn’t separate at the line is a bad choice IMO. I don’t even want to talk about drafting a RB after having Foreman make us feel better about trading CMC only to send him packing and give Sanders top FA money last year to fall on his face.  We always try to get cute and find value.  The fact that we were the first team to take a RB (one recovering from a serious injury no less) tells you we didn’t get the memo 31 other teams got.  RB has a huge role in protection responsibility, it’s a huge reason some great backs are situational…they suck in protection.  A rookie RB helping protect BY doesn’t warm my heart.  We should have taken the top C on the board here IMO. LB and yet another project TE that’ll probably just frustrate us all for how long he hangs around seemingly doing nothing.  Then a bunch of dice rolls that aren’t changing any fortune unless it’s a complete accident. TLDR This whole draft looks like JAGs to me at best.  I don’t like the XL or JB picks at all.  Always happy to be wrong when I have a negative take.
    • I'll tell you how you should benefit from using this in a moment. However, things are alright now. You might have to be really skilled to use their find effectively. I'm not the most ideal customer when it is put alongside that condition. Here are the pros. I put my foot in my mouth. I had high expectations. We'll face up to reality. My notion is based around my assumption that nobody has a partiality concerning doing that. There is a culture that has been built around some hindrance and also you should understand how some command will impact your life. Really honestly, if you actually reckon about it, how good is that stuff? Whenever somebody experiences the doohickey, it is best that they do not hesitate to talk to a professional.    OFFICIAL WEBSITE ----> https://www.onlymyhealth.com/sugar-defender-reviews-blood-sugar-supplement-complaints-1709036624   Go Down For More Info:-   https://www.onlymyhealth.com/puravive-reviews-side-effects-and-complaints-1709979035 https://www.onlymyhealth.com/fitspresso-reviews-coffee-loophole-recipe-dangerous-side-effects-and-complaints-1710235827   https://medium.com/@lancebrum/sugar-defender-buyer-beware-heres-the-real-story-must-read-cfbe26c6a174 https://hackmd.io/@lancebrum/SugarDefender https://www.eventogo.com/event/sugar-defender-supplement-what-you-should-be-aware-in-update-2024/ https://www.techdirectory.io/new-york/adtech/sugar-defender https://gamma.app/docs/Sugar-Defender-Buyer-Beware-Heres-The-Real-Story-Must-Read-7vy0ew8b8doq9hm https://jciodev.microsoftcrmportals.com/forums/general-discussion/59f21551-e405-ef11-a81c-6045bd0b2619 https://pgccouncilcsp.powerappsportals.us/forums/general-discussion/604e7f79-e405-ef11-a73d-001dd806eee4 https://thecontingent.microsoftcrmportals.com/forums/general-discussion/5f1e49b0-e405-ef11-a73d-6045bd01c1cc https://twor.microsoftcrmportals.com/forums/support-forum/1bf52a1d-e505-ef11-a73d-6045bd3fd1cb
