First practice day

Damn… look at that… Baker gets to run with the first team tomorrow. All the chicken little’s can sleep tight knowing this.

“Mayfield took all of his work with the second offense Wednesday, with incumbent Sam Darnold working with the ones. Head coach Matt Rhule said that would flip Thursday, with Mayfield getting to practice with the first set of receivers.”

Is it just me or was this an extremely underwhelming amount of coverage/reporting from camp today?

Was not just you, seemed like day 15 not day 1.

Been like that ever since Tepper took over.

Any and all updates only seem to come from in house and there aren't a lot and they are few and far between.

Taylor’s INT is in the link above, nice pick, have seen many a Panthers DB get Nakamura’d in that same situation.

Also of interesting note, Elflein took first team reps at center over Bozeman, it was already mentioned that Jordan took first team reps at LG.

So the first team offensive line was…

Christensen - Jordan - Elflein - ? - Moton

Probably had Daley at RG. They are a bunch of idiots.

99% of the huddle could put together a better OL.

Icky - ? - Bozeman - Corbett - Moton

This is what it should be with whoever the nastiest guy is out of the leftovers playing LG.

Brady can be a swing tackle.

You dont take a LT that high and then turn around and play a guy in front of him who you refused to play at LT last season over garbage.

Hopefully it's not more of that super-restricted approach from last year, but I fear it will be. Going the wrong direction.

I think it’s Rhule just really sticking to his guys from last year and making the new guys come in and prove themselves, regardless of if they are rookies or five year vets.

It would have been nice to know how Christensen did at LG. Hopefully he does well and we can trot out Ekwonu - Christensen - Bozeman - Corbett - Moton

It might be but it is still stupid, he had his garbage FA signing playing over Brady C last season......Now we have a guy that can be a legitimate LT for years to come and he wants to play Brady? fug that.

It's worse, fans can't even film/take photos this year during practice so that cuts out pretty much everything but whatever minute long highlight tweet they'll maybe put out.

Heres one 14 second highlight for the day. Lame

The teams so bad lately they don’t even want to cover themselves. Even when the panthers were good the coverage was pretty lackluster comparably.

Players do out themselves though about how they pay attention to what folks say online.  DJ clearly watching.  He tried to play it off “that his brother watches”……yet DJ can pick them out in a crowd.

    • Velocity MPH. Okay, that’s a number in isolation. what if CJ has a nice 85% effort motion that does what he is looking for? And Young has to step into things to get even 2 mph behind him?  I don’t KNOW that about either it is just an example of numbers don’t always tell all, but when I look at Young throw it reminds me of someone like Fran Tarkenton. A throwback non athletic weak armed scrambler for those of you who don’t remember. Had a great career in the old smaller slower but much meaner NFL. Would not today, IMO.  I think the arm strength questions, are plenty fair. And the eyeball test, it does mean something. Who would take Bryce Young over CJ Stroud or Richardson based on his arm? It is obvious to the naked eye where they stack up.
    • Jarvis gets the first and the game winner!
    • Somehow win tonight and this series has a good chance to go 7 where anything can happen. will be an extremely tough test tonight though, probably the toughest game of the entire Rod era. Personally I'd go with Koochie but it'll prob be Freddie. Expecting a loss tonight so I don't get upset if it happens, but if we did somehow do the impossible and reverse sweep these fugers it'll be the happiest I've been about sports maybe ever (wasn't following the canes closely for our cup win otherwise that's obviously #1). Making the SB in '15 is up there right now but this could surpass that, especially if we can continue the run into the cup finals
