Don't worry. The water cooler sports dudes will be back soon enough. You can get back to disregarding reason or logic and surround yourself with trashing your team for pie from each other.

Oh sorry please don't let me interrupt your good time defending the guy who lost to every head coach that was fired.

Please take your facts somewhere else.  They are interfering with my overreaction.

Yeah I didn’t have a major negative reaction from what he said because it is true. The QBs will decide who will be the starter by how they play and Rhule will make the final decision.

When I was in grade school I specifically remember being taught that if you say quote or use quotes there is a responsibility to use the whole quote.  Don't trust anyone who replaces a chunk with ellipses .

Listen, I wasn’t misquoting him, I was taking out filler and not typing up a big run-on sentence. He can say “the players decide who plays” all he wants. The point is, no matter what he says, he and the coaches set the depth chart and decide who plays. Now maybe I was misunderstanding when he said his job was to make sure there were good players in the room as in from a cutting to the final 53 perspective as opposed to bringing in guys as a GM. I can accept that. The focus of the quote was that he is a coach not a GM, I was intentionally not focusing on the “players decide who plays” coach speak bullshit.

Dude.  Your entire thread was hashed out yesterday posted by the site owner.   I think you might be confused.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
