what else do you expect from the undefeated training camp/off-season/talent/potential super bowl champs since 1995?

I don't think anyone is saying that. What people are saying is that Baker is doing things that Sam can't do in shorts. Yesterday, Sam's practice consisted of check down after check down which is all we've seen since Cam hurt his shoulder midway through 2018. Baker may actually prolong CMC's season because he WON'T check down. There may be some sacks or INT's every now and again but the ability to push the ball downfield and not settle for CMC will help the team over the course of 19 to 20 games.

That was a beauty of a throw across his body while running. No denying Baker has upside and can make plays, just needs the consistency. Either way though he’s 100% a big upgrade on Darnold, and any other QB we’ve had since Cam’s shoulder fell apart.

Yeah and the secondary was all mixed up, guess they aren't used to Darnold chucking it 20+ or the OC actually creating misdirection

Speaking of DJ Moore...

Moore is underrated but most of those guys above him are quite a bit better so far. McLauren at 2 years older and not as good with a higher contract though… oof skins, bad contract

I can’t wait to see DJ with Baker as QB in the regular season. He can easily be a receiver that gets 1500 plus yards a season.

That QB “competition” was done after today. It really should be Baker vs Corral, with Corral getting some work with the ones to further develop him

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
