This is pretty much my opinion too. Legit talent is optimized by good coaching but legit talent finds a way to show they belong even when surrounded by idiots.

Yep. That is the outlook I have had with QBs. People saying that no QBs could succeed behind last years OL is funny. I truely elite QB or maybe even a great QB can do a lot with a little when it concerns the OL. He just may have a shortened career because of it.

The rookie has impressed in very limited time. The coach has done everything to keep this guy under wraps. Idiot doesn't describe Rhule he's a bigger obstacle than an "idiot".

Fhulish is a category unto itself. Once he's gone you'll recognize just how destructive he was.

Good grief, man. I agree with you that Rhule is trash but you're just not being at all objective about your man crush Corral. 😂

Corral was developmental.  Best case for him was always seeing the field late if the Rhule era officially imploded.

Corral going to IR in my eyes just highlights the pointless mess ahead of Corral.   We still have Sam and PJ on the roster.  And you would have hoped Rhule would have moved on from some of the mess regardless if they added a developmental player or not.

Cam couldn't even get the chance to outplay Rhules stupidity before he was sharing NFL snaps with Sam Darnold. That kind of stupid can ruin anything and anybody.

I love Cam but he is done.  That said, Cam saved Rhule from being fired in season IMO last year and Rhule still couldn’t do him a solid to finish out the year lol.

If we would have had an unquestionable starter, like all other teams with rookie QBs, Corral would have gotten more snaps in practice. But since we have cluster fxxk at QB, and are trying to decide who should be the starter in game 1, that is the priority, as it should be.

Corral has all the physical attributes of a long term starter, outside of being a bit injury prone, but he was deemed as not ready due to his college system. He was always a long term play. Not sure what is confusing about this.

Exactly. We're in terrible hands. Corral is just another example of how not to develop a rookie and utter Rhule Fhulishness.

I'm inclined to believe the sources that say Matt Rhules players couldn't make it in most NFL rosters. That would seem now to include Sam, Baker and PJ. It's a cluster of suck.

I have to say that I’m very optimistic about Baker, but we will find out.

Very possible.

If I remember correctly, our ramped up interest in Mayfield seemed to roughly coincide with rookie mini-camp so that would make sense.

I don't think the interest in Mayfield had anything to do with Matt Corral. It likely had everything to do with Sam Darnold.

The plan for Corral was always to sit him a year.

    • Btw you know if I Can park in lot 14 or near it? Been years since I’ve been to Raymond James and I totally forget the parking situation in general
    • I’m about an hour south and will be driving up for it. Have a child’s birthday party at noon so not sure quite how early I’ll be able to make it up there. You going to the game? Hell yeah man, I’ll try to stop by the tailgate. Any bar plans after? I have an hour drive after but was thinking of staying up in Tampa for the night game before heading home.
    • I wonder if that Correlation will change with NIL and especially the college playoffs this year not being all your typical big name schools. Feels like a little bit of a shift this year but curious if it's going to move further in that direction, I know the government/congress is already trying to get involved with/rollback/regulate NIL for whatever reason but I generally have enjoyed it's impact so far. Just pisses off a lot of dinosaurs that miss having ultimate control
