Yeah I've been very hard on Darnold but I hate to see that for anyone. He can recover and lick his wounds with that 18 million dollars though no worries Sam.

He is a horrible QB I don't wish that injury on anyone but I'll say as an everyday fan it's a little hard to feel too bad for him when he's collecting more this season on IR or cut than 99% of this board will have at 65 retiring.

Yeah, and Cam's most recent statements suggest he is still looking for a starting gig, and I don't blame him.  But if he were to come back, even just that added dimension at the goal line would be another incredible weapon to have...

But I agree, it feels like the relationship is done from both sides.

Cams not a starter anymore and he has too much pride to he a true backup.

Broken or torn.

Could be the dreaded high ankle sprain. Those are usually longer recovery than an actual broken ankle.

Yeah, that's was my thought...  a fracture or high ankle sprain, but it usually seems like it takes a bit longer for them to evaluate/diagnose and then rule out guys with high ankle sprains.  This seemed quicker.

Nah. High ankle is usually out immediately. Pretty painful from what I have heard.

Well, I know it's relatively quick to figure out from their inability to put weight on it and such, but idk...  just seems like it usually takes them longer to definitively diagnose that.

But, either way, I'm thinking that's minimum 4 weeks, more likely 6.

    • Ok, we ain't making the playoffs unless something insanely crazy happens and plus it's November, time to start planning for the draft this spring.  Pretty simple, list our positions of need, address in the draft (or left to FA) and round we should draft that need. Currently we have 8 selections, the actual slot in each round still to be determined by finishing order, but I can't see a huge swing one way or the other. (This as of Week 10) Needs: (no particular order) ILB, CB, DL, Edge, S, QB, IOL, OT Rd1: ILB/EDGE Rd2:OT Rd3:Edge/ILB (opposite of round 1) Rd4:S Rd5-a:CB Rd5-b:QB Rd6:IOL Rd7:DL
    • Isn’t XL the player Nicole Tepper told Canales to trade-up for during draft day?
    • Yeah it is along the lines of ‘fraud vitiates everything’, it just prevents an honest assessment.  You got guys with some acknowledged issues, really swimming upstream due to the quality of the QB.    I think back to game two this year when he got a lot of targets and was unable to do anything. When you look back nothing, or maybe one, was in a decent place for him to get.  I think it was week two. And ‘a lot’ maybe be overstating but there were a few.
