A close loss is a loss.  We’ll see how Rhule looks against a rookie coach and roster pending demolition next week.  A loss to the Giants is the death nail.

And then the schedule actually gets tough lol

yeah I am somewhat happy without the team bounced back today, we had a new offense vs one of the best D's in the NFL. Next week is everything though, loose to the giants and ill be distraught. Its a week 1 L to an AFC team, means nothing in terms of tiebreakers.

Personally appreciate the fact that this team played a competitive game against a quality team. Normally this is the type of team that curb stomps the Panthers, particularly in the second half. Instead of looking for something else to do with my day by the third quarter, I got to watch a really good football game. Adjustments were made. Team fell short, but there's definitely hope.

Good game by the Panthers.  Ekwonu has to pay his dues, good to get the worst he'll see out of the way in week 1.  The Browns running game is the best the Panthers will see this year, but they couldn't run out the 4th quarter on the Panthers Defense.  The offense showed fortitude, shaking off early challenges and getting things moving, taking the lead with a minute and change left in the game.  McCaffrey looked good and heads into week 2 healthy.  In the end a blown call and a 58 yd fg lost this game, it happens in the NFL unfortunately.  There's a lot of positives to take away. The real test is how the Panthers play next week vs the Giants.  You can't let 1 tough loss turn into 2.  Hopefully the Panthers offense gets things going earlier.

On the season? Of course not the book is unwritten on Baker as of yet. But if anyone is still fully buying what Rhule is selling after seeing how poor the offense has been under his watch via multiple different quarterbacks and coordinators they are either mentally ill or must be related to the man.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
