You can't just gloss over data because you don't like it and then pretend you're the only one being objective. There is nothing wrong with being glass half full. I'm not even declaring the season over this early. But the same glaring issues are rearing their heads again in game one and once again we made a backup QB look better than he should.

They were down all game Baker brought them back and had the game won.. I don't blame him for what happened after that..

I said I saw the issue but I can use context to say what I saw.. I didn't say your opinion is wrong I just gave mine..

Giants are in a pretty close game with a recent playoff team the Titans and Jones has a 146 passer rating. If we get drubbed by the Gmen again you can stick a fork in this coaching staff.

Cool then win win.. Either we win or we get rid of a cancer.. I'm just not mad about this game.. But after 1st half I thought this was going to be a blowout and it wasn't.. So there is signs of life..

I was very disappointed during the game.  They had three weeks to basically game plan how to deal with and attack Cleveland's defense and pressure their QB.  That shows how poorly coached this team is, IMO.

This is the 2nd time in two years Bill Callahan has dominated our Run D, just abusing us.  Why wasn't that addressed?  That's just unacceptable.  

BUT - I did feel better seeing the team keep fighting.  Baker and Robbie made a heck of a play which seemed to lift the entire team.  That's great to see from the players.  The defense had moments where it played really well.

I feel like Baker will help us content in the South.  Which is something we didn't imagine would happen with Darnold.  That's my hope.

But the issues with the defensive line, with the offensive game planning, the development of Icky are going to determine our fate.

I hope you are right, I hope they are.  I am about out of faith.

Coordinators do the heavy lifting. HCs do the pontificating and speeches. This is the first year we have actually had NFL people in key positions. Sure we lost but how many.comebacks in the second half have we had under Rhule. New day folks.

We are too inconsistent in all three phases to be a playoff team but I saw lots of positive signs that we are headed in a positive direction. The defense and especially penalties killed us today and extended drives.

If you say you have never seen a pro team quit you just exposed how few games you have watched or that you may be watching but don't know how to evaluate what you are seeing. It happens all the time when teams get drubbed like we did in the first half.

      It’ll be extremely hard to bring an elite coach into this dumpster fire, not to mention having to deal with the Teppers.  So yeah, fix the QB problem and then deal with coaching if need be.

      Somebody get the Jim Mora gif ready in 3….2…1…. For those of you who care, the path to the playoffs is really clear cut and Sundays game against the Rams nor Tampas games against the cupcakes they have remaining factor in really at all.    In all likelihood the only way the Panthers are playing in the second week of January is if they win the division.  The loss to the niners did a lot of damage to any wildcard hopes they may have.   The formula to win the division is pretty simple. After the bye week, if Carolina wins their final four games (at NO, vs Tampa, vs Seattle, and at Tampa) they are NFC South Champs. In that scenario, they finish 10-7 and the Bucs best possible finish would be 10-7 as well. The Panthers would win a tiebreaker with a 5-1 division record.    Ironically, the late season bye comes at a perfect time. Get healthy and try and win four in a row.    With Canales outsmarting himself at every turn and Bryce putting up QB numbers not seen since leather helmets were worn, the thought of winning four in a row seems almost impossible, but, we at least go into December in the hunt.

      They are definitely out there condemning Canales and absolving Young.  Which, condemn Canales if you want but then leave Young responsibility free? Nah, that is just Bryce fanning.
