Nope. Fitts gotta go. We went from good with the salary cap to bad without a QB to show for it.

But was that really his choice to do all that restructuring to go after a QB that had no desire to be here? We're in cap hell next year at 20m over atm I believe but some of these contracts were asinine to begin with. CMC, stupid contract. Robbie, stupid contract. Shaq, stupid contract. Fitts has put some pieces together, we just have a couple of these guys for HC and OC.

Honestly I don't even care. Fitterer isn't a coffee or errand boy. He has just as much culpability in this as Rhule.

I'm not too sure about that.  Fitterer executed the trades, but was he the one that sought out the players?  Like the Henderson trade for instance...when Horn went down last year did Scott get on the horn to Jacksonville to back fill the spot on his instincts OR did Rhule say 'we need a CB immediately, go find me one.'

I realize scouts and GMs keep a list of perspective players, but did Fitts go to Rhule or did Rhule go to Fitts?  This is the reason I'm willing to give Fitterer the benefit of a doubt.  Rhule is the puppet master and the reason no matter how much he shuffles the chairs around in the front office, the results are the same.

Why does everyone think Morgan is so awesome?

Well for one thing he's getting some attention as a possible future GM around league circles as the rumors would have it. He's also a pretty good pro scout/evaluator.  So he has some potential for us if we go there. But that's if Tepper is conscious of the talent he does have on staff. I would not lose sleep if he's let go however.  It wouldn't be the first time the Panthers let talented staff walk out the door.

Beane hired him on as Director of Player Personnel in 2018 in Buffalo for 3 years before we signed him as an Assistant in 2021.  If he learned anything from Beane about building a roster he is worth it, plus there is obvious Panthers familiarity.

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
