If you’re serious about winning, Brian Flores is the coach

I really like Flores.  I wanted him as HC as soon as he became available this offseason, and I would be ecstatic if that's the direction we went - but, I do honestly prefer a young OC like Leftwich or Dorsey.  That being said, I still kind of consider all of them as equally desirable for next HC, if that makes any sense.

Context is key.

2019 - 3rd easiest schedule in the NFL (5-11)

2020 - 2nd easiest schedule in the NFL (10-6)

2021 - Overall easiest schedule in the NFL (9-8)

I’m not sure I want a .500 coach who can’t get his team over the hump when provided with the easiest overall group of games from the last three years.

In case you were wondering, the Dolphins current SOS… most difficult schedule in the NFL.

What employer in their right mind would hire someone who is willing to play the race card and prevent them from making rational decisions down the road?

What kind of NFL owner fires a coach who took a dumpster fire of a franchise and roster and made them respectable almost immediately?!?

If Jeff Fisher gets two chances in this league, John Fox gets three chances then Flores sure as heck deserves another shot at it

look at that 2020 roster and 2019 roster, it is HORRENDOUS. The guy was winning games with career journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick

McDaniel is a good coach down there now but just about anyone can look impressive when you have Waddle and Tyreek lining up

America was built upon playing the race card, and those in power still refuse to make rational decisions because of it. So...miss me with that.

This man was pulling miracles in Miami with an abysmal roster. He was 24-25 in his ‘rebuild’ years before the sleazeball owner Ross canned him.

He’s a leader of men- Dolphins players were livid when he got canned

He has first hand experience with undermining owners

Worked with Belichick and now Tomlin, two of the best in the game

Proven track record on stabilizing abysmal franchise

If we’re not going to get an offensive minded coach then I’m taking Flores over Demico Ryans

I disagree.   I think Flores is an ok coach.  I would put him on the same level as Rivera or someone similar.   The biggest thing that hurts his case in my mind is they had a pretty talented roster and the team didnt take a step back at all when he left, if anything theyve looked somewhat better.

No to anyone from the Belichik tree. There are also too many known negatives with Flores. As far as the other 2 you mentioned, as I have said before...I am afraid that Leftwich gets too much credit...he has had Arians (who is still around in Tampa) and Brady.  Dorsey has not proven anything/built anything yet.  So far he has just not screwed up the offense he inherited.

Fitzpatrick won 4 games in 2019, over the past 14 years (2008-2021), Fitzpatrick has won 59 games… what does that average out to… 4 wins a year.

Flores didn’t do anything special with Fitzpatrick, Fitzpatrick just did what he always does, gets you 4 wins.

Horrendous roster or not, you have to deal with the hand you are dealt… not to mention the fact that Tua looks like a completely different player under McDaniel.

Then there’s this… I prefer a coach to have better rapport with his QB than what Flores had with Tua.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
