i just looked and they aren't ranked all that high. they are 3-3. they've won 2 in a row, but still kind of far down and about middle of the pack in power rankings. NFL has them ranked 10th in the AFC. both the bills and the jets have won more games and they lost to the dolphins so they are sitting last in their division. that's just weird.

i think we're so used to them being a powerhouse no matter what that we might haven't realized that they aren't anymore.

 

This is so true. Their last two wins were against the Lions and Browns and all of a sudden "they're back"....yet they're in 4th place in their own division. I can't wait until they get their curb stomping from the Bills again.

Marc Jones is not a franchise QB who will ever win a SB as a starter. Almost worse to have a guy like that mid/long term than to have trash at QB like we’ve had. Hard pass, we gotta start working to find a true young franchise guy in the draft.

Perfectly normal for even just basically intelligent people to want to understand why something is being done. That's how the fug you learn lol. Durr na just listen to me blindly...its like huh no.....explain the theory, history, or layout of this so we can all get it instead of just you.

I mean that is literally just being basic smart.

that's great for them and definitely a unique and way better situation / ran team, I personally want to draft and groom a QB rather than keep trying to make other peoples exes work.

do you agree with that or do you want to keep trying to sign cast aways?

Yeah I agree we should draft a QB with our #1 overall. Point was that indeed if its a good/smart team and there is a player/coach you can bring in to help, then you do so. The Rams built their entire poo off trading away 1st round picks for players. Now this will catch up to them obviously and is anything but a long term solution but they have results to show for it

Panthers kept talking about rebuilds but we kept paying and bringing in and trading for players as if Rhule didn't have time, it was inept as anything that's every been done in the NFL.

Zappe was really good in college. He would have been a first rounder if not for being at a small school.  He lit up App State in their bowl game last year.

      Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.

      Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
