The Timing of our Rebuild is Ideal

So, let's see... we need a good HC, OC and DC, plus positional coaches, trainers and medical staff.

We need a QB, desperately.

We need a WR1/2.

We need a TE.

Oh, and now we need to replace a RB who made up 75% of our offensive yardage. That'll be easy. (And our back-ups are barely back-up quality... no one waiting in the wings).

We need a new team owner.

And for fug sake, let's get a new GM because this guy is a certified sucker who can't judge talent. Oh and he thought Robbie Anderson was worth millions upon millions of dollars.

Yeah, the rebuild. I'm so frikkin' expecting this to work.

I mean I’m just saying the timing is good, not that we’ll be able to perfectly execute it. This upcoming HC-QB combo is critical.

timing was actually ideal to start the rebuild going into 2020.  I mean, if you look around the NFCS.  We in theory should just now be approaching the time to start having put something together.   As the NFCS turns weak.

This is such an important draft that I don’t like this sentiment. After two really mediocre drafts, you are excited to see what Fitterer can do? Do we really think he just took the picks from Rhule and just called them in?

I hope we hire the right coach and find that there’s a better GM we can trust.

If we 2021 this draft, we are pretty much shot for talent for a while. That scares me. I don’t trust any of the current staff at all. We’ll see how it goes. At least the draft is interesting now and not going to be another 2022 draft missing multiple picks. We can just imagine CMC is hurt again.

Oh I never said excited. I am just glad to see how it works out because we should know if that is an area of concern or not. If it looks very similar to previous drafts, we know he also needs to be booted.

If Fitt can at least Hurney us into a great QB prospect, that is basically all we need. The rest is just icing.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
