The Bucs have a tough schedule and are playing their worst football. It's unironically gonna be us vs Atlanta for the NFC South.

Next three weeks decide this poo show. But anything can happen in the playoffs 6-1 or not the Giants coming to town would be a winnable game.

Doesn't mean we should go all in on the wrong guy. Just look at the Niners with Trey Lance. Good overall roster but hamstrung because they went all in on the wrong guy so now they're having to double down and try to figure out how to win with what amounts to a high end backup in Jimmy G.

Bad thing is the FA QBs this off-season aren’t very good.
So we either draft a QB or hope Corral can be a true starter or resigned Baker or Walker and hope that the team can rise above their problems.
Either way the QB position from what we have right now in the NFL looks bleak as heck.

Yes. Don't just go all in because QB is our biggest need. Do the scouting work and if you aren't 1000% sure that they are the franchise guy trade down and acquire more assets and draft capital to use later when you identify the right guy. In the meantime, you can sign a vet like Teddy, Cam, or Jimmy G to a 1-year deal and see what's available next offseason. With how bad the South looks right now you'd probably still win the division and wouldn't have any threat to your job security. This is what should of happen in 2020 but Matt Rhule happened.

Someone out of this draft class (maybe more than one) will probably end up being legit. It's about figuring out who.

Anything can happen except for anyone in this division winning a game.

2 out of 3 teams who made the playoffs with a losing record won their first game, the one loss was Rivera with the Redskins against the eventual SB champions and they actually gave the Bucs quite a fight despite having Taylor Heinicke at QB... Yes odds are the winner of this division gets smoked whoever it is, but it's absolutely possible and believable that they can win a game at home.

Pretty much the only FA guys we haven't tried out that I think are interesting are Huntley and Minshew lol...It's Teddy, Sam, Baker, Kyle Allen, Heinicke, Daniel Jones, Brissett. Not that FA QB is usually a good thing but the legit veteran depth is becoming a thing of the past, McCown/Flacco types are washing up

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
