I like him and think he has a great arm.  Looks good dropping the ball in through different layers of defenses.  He hasn't had much adversity to overcome and has the greatest WR in college football on his team.

He has been all over the place from different analysts and scouts though.  I've seem some rate him as the top guy and others say he needs to stay another year.  It will be interesting to see where they all land.

Believe me, if we draft him … I will hope and pray that im wrong. Good news for us…. I’m wrong just as often as I am right, haha.

I’d take AR over Stroud. Stroud is just a taller Teddy Bridgewater.  Stroud touts above average to average arm strength and throw to open receivers, not throws receivers open. He does not possess a single “elite” qb trait.

the ceiling i could see for stroud is Goff- like and the floor is Zach Wilson. I expect career results similar to Teddy though.

I may be nuts but at this point I would welcome a taller teddy Bridgewater.   We just need some form of competent qb play to move forward.

Then just go get Goff in the off-season and use the first round pick on an elite skill player.

I would say he is Teddy with an actual deep ball (which is Teddy's biggest weakness).  However he probably isn't nearly as cerebral/quick at reading defenses as Teddy is yet.

Not yet but Teddy wasn't that way his first year either.

Stroud has a much better arm than TB, and I think he'll get the mental aspect of the NFL game down, too.

But it seems likely he'll be gone before we have a shot at him.

I agree, but he could drop in this draft like Fields did (especially if UGA crushes them right after Michigan did).

He could but I think he's a better overall prospect than Fields and I don't think there are better QBs than him to supplant him in the top of the draft.

If we hire Ben Johnson (Lions OC) as new head coach, I could see him wanting to go after Goff to bridge to a rookie and/or Corral.

One of Johnson's old colleagues helped develop Will Levis last year.

One other speculation is that we could hire Shane Waldron and he might bring Geno Smith with him.
