That's just dishonest

No it’s not. At his height and with his arm strength he will have the ability to make throws other QBs on our roster can’t get away with.

Dishonest is saying you aren’t interested in a QB and spending 90% of your forum activity boosting a thread about him to the point the only threads that get more attention than the QB you aren’t interested in is the Gameday threads.

If AR15 comes out and throws well at his pro day and the combine some team will target him and probably early in the first.  His upside is really high even if he is raw as a passer right now.  I would take the risk if Young and Stroud are gone but there is no guarantee he won’t end up better than either of those guys

I want a new QB, but AR is so raw he’s gonna be a 2-3 year project. I’d rather just give Corral a year to either sink or swim than go that route.

Corral will get a shot to sink or swim regardless of the choice of a QB, but either way, nobody is going to roll into the season with him as the only option to start.  Even if we draft AR or any other QB, Corral will still be there in camp to show if he's developed, but there will also be a vet QB we bring in as a backup or bridge.

Arm talent? Check. Richardson uncorked an awe-inspiring, ~80-yard throw at the Manning Passing Academy over the summer. His 11.5-yard average depth of target in 2022 is tied for the fifth-highest among 89 qualifying FBS quarterbacks, per Pro Football Focus. His 18 big-time throws rank tied for No. 38 in the same group, despite his 60th-ranked number of passing attempts.

Mobility? Check. He averaged 6.3 yards per rush — 3.56 of which came after contact, per PFF — with nine touchdowns on the ground this year. The Athletic reported over the summer that he runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash.

"I thought [he] made a ton of progress," Napier said. "You know, most importantly I think as a person, comfort with the role, you know, the leadership aspect. And certainly, I thought [he] made a lot of progress when it comes to football intelligence and defensive structure, protections."

"[He] did a lot for the Gators, man," Napier praised of Richardson. "Certainly proud of him as a person and the way he went about his business and represented this place."

I think it is worth noting that Florida did not use his skill set ideally and really didn't even start working with his strengths until later in the season. He certainly needs some development, but he can be put in a run first offense that takes advantage of play action and read option and succeed right away. He is not as raw as someone like Malik Willis was.

Thank you for this - this makes me feel much better about possibly drafting him in the 9-15 range.  Our MO has always been run first, and I doubt it changes anytime soon.  Re-sign Foreman, and pair Richardson with the big TE from Georgia in the second and we may be starting to build something.

Verge hate to say it but I never want to see read option in Charlotte again.

I want a professional offense with my QB under center.

You have noticed that the NFL is moving more and more away from the traditional under center offense, haven't you? Here's some stats and here's an article.

Edit: Your precious 3 yards and a cloud of dust is long dead and buried.

Considerably higher ceiling than Willis and a considerably lower floor.

I don't want to see us make this pick at the moment because we aren't sitting on a staff capable of developing such an insanely raw prospect. That may change depending on who we hire in the offseason.
