I swear Laviska is always hurt.  Never has anyone played so little and hurt so much.

Excerpts from Ellis Williams, Charlotte Observer

The Carolina Panthers may be without two of their top receivers Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Laviska Shenault is another pillar of the Panthers’ run-pass option scheme. His presence as a slot receiver running bubble screens threatens opposing linebackers and forces them to expand with him, which opens run lanes for running backs D’Onta Foreman, Chuba Hubbard, and Raheem Blackshear.

One concern that was D.J. (Moore) was limited and still is questionable. We’ll check his status as we proceed and move forward,” Panthers interim coach Steve Wilks said. “It’s not so much of a setback. It just really is trying to see whether or not he’s going to be able to sustain and be efficient.”

Tee Higgins is next man up for Laviska

Shenault’s style of play will probably lead to a lot of injuries.

If only we could run curls and slants to him so he can catch and go instead of always running that same dam play all season. Even go routes In Jacksonville he ran regular routes what’s the dam problem here.

DJ don’t want to play.. he knows the game plan for him sub-7 attempts his way (he gets 3:4, 37yds) ..

that kid seems worn out by the ineptitude of most of the last few seasons… even now that there some competence at the helm, we’re straight run heavy, denying that man the opportunity to prove his skill set…

he’s a peacock, he needs to fly….

Mcadoo has no creativity in his offense. Shenault wasn’t here at the beginning of camp. Mcadoo finds one play that mostly works and just keeps running it over and over because he’s too lazy to try to figure out other ways that might move the ball with this player. “6 yards, sounds good enough to me.”  That being said, shenault definitely runs to the contact instead of away from it.
