Lose when it matters, win when it doesn’t

How does winning this week help things moving forward?

It doesn’t. People cling onto “winning matters over everything” mantra regardless of everything. Did we win with Terrace going 7/100 and a TD? No. Did Burns go for 4 sacks and show dominance? No. Did a young rb that won’t be on the free agency pool next offseason pop off? No. This was a stupid “proving point” for those that want wins over anything. Nothing good came of this game. Can’t wait to get Dallas, Green Bay, and Seattle next year instead of Arizona, Chicago, and Washington. But at least they “won”!

We dropped 1 effing spot.

Yall can talk about everyone else having a loser mindset but many of the posters here are the epitome of a losing mindset.

Absolutely nothing tragic happened today.

We are picking 9th.

Mahomes went 10th. And the examples go on and on and on...

This literally is the epitome of pathetic

I don't get it this Dropping 1 effing spot comments.

Before this game, we were already at 9.

After this game, we are at 9.

We didn't drop a spot at all.

I've definitely done some stupid poo, but I've never openly rooted for the New Orleans Saints. Few on this board can also lay claim to that

Guys, the context is the entire season, not just today's game. Today's game just sort of signifies what the Panthers are about.

We were in the playoff race until last week and this week didn't affect draft positioning.

So that makes no sense IMO. We played to win until last week when we had a chance at the playoffs and we won today but it didn't affect where we draft.

I don't understand how anyone with a brain would have done anything differently.

Was Wilks supposed to try lose every game the minute he took over?

Other than just wanting to complain, I don't understand the first thing about this thread

It does if they also consider getting blown out in the playoffs to be meaningless. This was a losing season either way.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
