It was a mistake and he moved on from it with a lot of money left on the contract. Bad hires happen sometimes. You like the Fitt hire right?

I do. And to be fair, I think he's learning.

IF he turns around, hires Payton and gives away picks in the process though, I revoke anything good I might have said about him.

Hopefully he won’t . It doesn’t appear he is super eager to pull the trigger.

Just think team we have about 3 more days of interviews. I wouldn’t mind having a look at Brian Callahan as well, at least he has 4 years of experience and not just the 1 or 2 that Shane Steichen or Mike Kafka have as a coordinator. Who knows how this will end.

Getting rid of the Richardson statue was funny, though I'd gladly trade that back for grass and no stupid fuging field level suites for opposing fans to sit and eat pancakes in when you're watching a redzone play

That statue was hideous. Cheesy concept.

I personally wouldn't hire Payton but I'd have to respect it. It means he's going all out to win now.

I'd take that over any upstart or project or hopeful. Our core players aren't college players not rookies, nobody has time for foolishness.

Payton, Reich or fly to Michigan hat in hand and give the man who on credentials alone should have had the job the minute HE had his people reach out the keys.

Another three years of a Dann Quinn or Rhule type adventure and the losing and embarrassment that comes with such hires isn't what loyal Panther fans deserve.

Tepper needs to go out there and purchase us the best already made head coach possible. Let someone else spend the time, money and discipline and patience it takes to train up a brand new HC. Watching a guy struggle with clock management and other nuances of the executive position...

aint nobody got time for that GIF

    • Let's hope so. He's basically said he's sort of an old school run first style coach despite being on the younger side.
