That will be taken into consideration. So if he runs well for that weight it won't hurt him.  I'd say as long as he doesn't run over a 4.7 he should be just fine.  He doesn't have to run in the 4.5's as LBs are primarily responsible for TEs in coverage.  He has to be as fast or faster than the typical LB.

That said, I think he will crush the skills portion of his Pro day.  Jumping drills will probably be average.  Strength should be above average.  Timed cone drills is the only part I think he will be less than average.

Pitts is a pass catcher. Mayer can block but he’s not the threat Pitts is catching the ball. Pitts wasn’t just potential he also put up the stats. He’s only the second rookie TE ever to cross 1k yards. It’s not his fault year two the offensive identity changed and he got hurt while playing with a set of awful QBs lol.
