I was listening to a radio show today and they discussed QBs at length. Maye, was the biggest boom or bust prospect of the big 6. McCarthy was the biggest question mark. He played with an elite OL, dominant run game and heck of a head coach. What would he look like on a, say. 1-15 NFL team? Nix, while universally QB6, they said at least you know what you are getting...solid, steady, yet unspectacular. Obviously know Williams and Daniels are going off the board #1, #2. Maye, may (pun), not be QB3 and that also may not be the Patriots with the third selection. For all the UNC homers around here, Drake isn't the lock he was looking like months ago. People have picked his game apart and come away less than blown away. -
Great to hear from you Scot. Sorry to hear about your health problems my friend. Hope you get through them soon and back to your old self. Like you I'm curious to see who's left on the board at 33 tomorrow after the dust settles. And like you I would love to see them grab a top center for the future if they get the chance. I'm not a big fan of moving an aging and injury ladened guard to center and counting on him to get you through a season. That's asking for trouble. Keep Pounding my friend -

The feeling is, as a source with one of the teams said, is that he wants to see what teams do in the draft before going forward. Boyd, who is clearly the top slot receiver available on the open market, was looking for at least $9 million per year at one point earlier this offseason, another source said. The veteran pass catcher signed a four-year extension in July 2019 worth $43 million ($10.75 million per season), which expired in March. Houston Texans The Houston Texans looked into the potential of acquiring veteran WR Stefon Diggs, which went down on April 3, well before then, a league source with knowledge of the situation told us. The source indicated that the team was looking into his background and potential fit with them at least three to four weeks before the trade with the Buffalo Bills was completed. That would indicate that it wasnât just the Bills who were looking to move him. As the source explained, the Texans felt that they wanted to build on last yearâs surprising success to make another run in the playoffs.  Philadelphia Eagles Thereâs been surprising buzz around the Philadelphia Eagles and the wide receiver position.â¨As a coaching source who has worked with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore in the past told us this week, his base offense, when he has enough players at the position, is 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WR). Behind the two starters at wide receiver (A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith) are two veterans on one-year deals (DeVante Parker and Parris Campbell) who have had their share of injuries over the years. Tennessee Titans Multiple league sources strongly believe LT Joe Alt, if he falls to them at No. 7 overall, will be the selection at that spot. The feeling here is that by selecting Alt, who our sources say is the âsafestâ left tackle for the 2024 NFL Draft, would help solidify the left side of the Titansâ offensive line with Peter Skoronski entrenched at LG. If Tennessee is able to secure Alt, that would enable the coaches to move third-year OT Nicholas Petit-Frere to RT to compete for the starting job there. Defensively, a source with knowledge of the scheme says Tennesseeâs expected to run a 3-4 front with new defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson. However, his scheme has some differences from former head coach Mike Vrabelâs version of the 3-4, which has its roots from the New England Patriots. Washington Commanders With a whopping six picks available within the top 100 selections (one first, two seconds, three thirds), some teams have told us they expect the Commanders to explore the possibility of packaging some draft assets to trade up for a higher-graded player to address needs on both sides of the ball (OL, DE, CB).  Latest Buzz on Top NFL Draft Prospects Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington Thereâs been a lot of talk in the scouting world lately that, despite his injury history, Michael Penix Jr. will wind up being a first-round pick. Penix, known in coaching and scouting circles as possessing the best deep arm of all the QBs projected to go off the board within the first few rounds, has shown the ability to process information well based on the game tape from the past few seasons. Some teams feel that there will be at least a few teams looking to replace their veteran signal-callers over the next few seasons and will look into either trading up from Round 2 or trading down in the first in order to select him later where he would be seen as a better value. Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas There has seemed to be a lot of buzz surrounding Adonai Mitchell in recent weeks, and as one scouting source said, itâs because of his size, speed, and talent. While heâs seen as a âlate bloomerâ and didnât have huge numbers in college, Mitchell is still projected to go off the board late first/early second round due to upside and how he projects to be a starter at some point within the first few seasons at the next level.  Jalyx Hunt, EDGE, Houston Christian If youâre looking for a player who could go off the board much higher than first thought, it could be this guy. Jalyx Hunt started his collegiate football career off at Cornell as a safety but would eventually transition to edge rusher at Houston Christian due in part to a late growth spurt.
