Who do you want? (Public Poll)

  1. 1. Who do you want the Panthers to draft in the 2023 NFL Draft?

At what draft pick?  1, 5  or stay at 9. And at what price? This year's 1 and next year's 1 to move up or the ridiculous talk about 3  1s and maybe more.  How did that work for SF with Lance. I would rather give up a 2nd for Fields and give him a proper offense that mortgage  a bunch of 1sts for Stroud.

Lance was the ultimate high risk/high reward pick.  He had 1 year of good play at a nobody school in Division 1AA. His athletic tools were there, which is why he went so high.  All the QBs, minus AR, at least have a large body of work against high level college talent.  Even AR did it in the SEC this year.

Truth is that there are lots of quarterbacks who can be developed who aren't high picks. We have seen a number of guys who were forced into action like Purdy for SF. To the point that spending a ton on any college player has to be weighed against finding someone you can develop with similar athletic tools.

I don't want to give up too much for a QB.  That results in not being able to get the pieces around him that will help him be successful. How many high draft pick QBs have gone to bad teams and then struggled?  I am going to trust our new staff to evaluate and find good talent at the QB position, as well as other positions and ..then develop them. We might have to be patient.  As good as he is, Andy sat Mahomes for a year.

Very true.  Just so happened in Big Cock Brocks case, that he stepped into a very complete team, with a great, QB friendly system, and an innovative head coach.  SF is proof that coaching and scheme are HUGE factors in the success of a young QB.

Kyler Murray is 5'8

His height is not that big of a concern it's his weight and frame.

Batted balls are not a concern?  Height, weight and frame are all concerns. Like I said earlier, if Young and AR-15 could magically switch bodies, I'd be all in on trading up for Young.

Fan Nation is a site that produces NFL content from current and former players, coaches, and executives. They too, are getting in the mock draft game, because why not?

In their latest mock draft, they project the Carolina Panthers to make a trade with the Seattle Seahawks to move up to the fifth overall pick to select Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.

    • Brother, you don't end up 32nd in rushing defense accidentally. It takes work.
    • Steelers fans will take over the Stadium and city   It will be unbearable  worse for me, on the west coast, resigned to the nfl network and you know it will be a steelers broadcast team.    It was ungodly bad with sheduer 2 weeks ago  Last game, tried listening  on panthers radio and  watching  on espn live last week but the delay between the 2 drove me nuts  so as bad as they were playing, found something else to do
    • I mean I don't have a personal axe to grind with any human on the Panthers roster.  I know AT shouldn't be dominating the slot. The fact he is....is because we have a horrific front office/management.   I can part with any player.   The goal is a winning team.   the root of the AT ranting, is really just looking out for BY (people like to call me BY hater though).  A QB who was basically screwed from day 1 when we got drafted here.  I went hard at Carolina then too for setting him up to fail. Because it was obvious from the jump the setup was failure by design.  Which was true.   I said Frank bad zero sense with BY.  Miles Sandes made double zero sense.  The players they got in FA made zero sense.     Either you build a BY O.....or you move on from BY.  I have said I am cool either way.  We are in no man's land and have been there since they day we drafted him.
