On record…Bryce Young

Why?  I love QBs that step on campus and dominate immediately.  Both players started a game and were the guys. No transferring and no questions.  Young has been the best QB IMO from day 1.  He missed a few games diving for a first down and returned quickly.
Posting my comps I would say this…

Young is similar to Mahomes

Stroud is similar to Goff

wow wasn't expecting the Young love.

Young is too short for me. Great QB, amazing ability to escape and pin point accuracy. I'm just too scared to take a chance on a guy with that frame and in a league where everyone is taller, faster, stronger.

My player comp for Young is Russ Wilson.

Stroud is the best QB, he has the size and the arm to be great. He was a missed FG away from beating the best team in college over the last two years with his arm AND legs which is not usual for him.

My player comp for Stroud is Justin Herbert.

Bryce

if he was the same size as Stroud.  People would be speaking about him in the same level as Andrew Luck and Trevor Lawerence level prospect

I still say he’s the better prospect but Stroud is one heckuva consolation prize.

Some are scared by the size.  But the height to me is the most overblown thing by people and honestly a non issue.  The frame?  If he comes in at sub 190, I may be a little nervous.  But don’t see that happening.

Hearing many folks here that know QBs talk about size concerns is interesting.  If a player might drop it is probably Bryce.  Damn…I hope so.

Weight is my only issue.  If he comes in at sub 190.  That when I have a problem.  The height is a non issue.

I hear you.  He is like historically small.  This can’t be denied.  I wonder what Doug Flutie would have done in the league but he isn’t as small.  If we draft Young I think we have the best QB in the NFC next season.  And no…he doesn’t sit.  He starts.

Team Levis. I will eat crow if I’m wrong a couple years from now. However, I think Levis will be one of the top QBs from this draft.

note: I will retract these thoughts if Levis flops his combine. So leave me that reservation.

I think Levis will dominate the combine for what it’s worth.

    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
