This really lends to the idea of bringing in a less experienced OC on board..Thomas Brown??  Frank could call plays and Caldwell could help mentor a guy like him.

frank can call plays and this "OC" can mainly focus on getting the QB up to speed.  essentially being a 2nd QB coach.

i want Frank calling plays because I want the play calling and offensive system in place and mastered over an extended period of time.

Jim Bob was with Caldwell in DET but I'm really excited about this Thomas Brown cat.

Love it. Basically polar opposite to Rhule's approach, which is good. I'm taking it slow with hyping up the team and our prospects this season just based on assistant coaches but I can't find anything to complain about with Reich's staff so far. Now let's get us Carr for the near future, Stroud/Young/Levis for the mid/long term, fill some of the other gaps in free agency. NFCS is so wide open if we can do that we could dominate the division for years to come.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
