Six Days...

Sunday:

We're gonna be calling Derek Carr tomorrow to talk contract. He's asking for a lot.

Monday:

Derek Carr is signing with the Saints.

Tuesday:

The Ravens have placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Lamar Jackson. We can make a trade offer.

Also Tuesday:

We're not gonna pursue Lamar Jackson.

Wednesday:

We're restructuring Taylor Moton's contract for cap space. Also there are rumors we might be trying to trade up in the Draft.

Thursday:

Rumors continue to swirl that we may try and trade up, but the price will likely be high.

Friday:

We've traded up to #1 in the NFL Draft, with trade compensation less than might have been expected.

For once, I am glad I was busy working, and had time to think it all through.  

I will say this, it's pretty exciting to be sitting at the very top of the draft,  knowing we're going to come away with one of the best 2 QB's in this draft.

I think it was Sheena Quick who referred to this week as a rollercoaster for Panther fans.

I'd call that accurate.

let’s be real Tepper had to do something 

and he already pulled the cheap, cam card fooling not so smart fans once, limited options

 but he made the right move finally

I always knew / hoped we wouldn’t sign Carr so never got on that rollercoaster
