Can he play on Sundays?

You don’t sign a vet backup to play on Sundays.

we have a backup if the need arises, two of them actually. We don’t need to rush out and sign one day 1 of tampering.

We do? Last I checked we have a practice squad guy and a 3rd round rookie that they are shopping for whatever they can get.

You sign a vet backup bc in case of injury they CAN play on Sundays. Reich knows this because he has been apart of that with every team he coached.

Also, who is our backup?

Don’t get the Two Gloves hate, nobody is saying to bring him in as a starter, seems like a perfect fit to backup and help teach a rookie QB, he’s a pro’s pro

Sooooo much hate on here for two gloves and darnold. People saying GTFUH and poo like that. Totally get that neither are gonna take us to the promised land as a starter but, come on y’all, the we’re both great dudes and it’s not like we had Nathan Peterson out there throwing 5 picks in a game

Y'all sleeping on terrace marshall already huh?

Guy hasn't even had a legit NFL coach yet.

Just wait and see.

He's the only reason I'm not screaming from the mountains for Rashee Rice.

That said it still would help to have more than him and Shi Smith.

For those of you that know the league better than me who are some solid wide receivers we could target in a trade?

Oops reading comprehension can be tough. I had two option that are straight up free agents.  Personally I like two guys.

Mack Hollins.  Played his college ball at UNC.  Big possession guy.  Flashed a bit when Devante was not healthy in Vegas.

Parris Campbell.  Not the sum of his parts yet.  Had some decent games in Indy. Familiar with what our new offense might look like.

As far as trade guys Courland Sutton is being shopped. I like him.  Could be our new number 1 WR.

    • I was reading through the thread seeing if someone would mention this. This is exactly what the Canes are doing and Tripp Tracy alluded to it on the Spittin Chiclets podcast when he said Taylor Hall was our Sam Bennett. The Canes and Panthers have always played identical with the main difference being Florida toes the line between physical and dirty. The Canes have stepped up the physical play this year and are inching closer to that line of physical and dirty. If I’m being honest, as a Montreal fan I wouldn’t love the fact that the Canes seem to be targeting Hutson but as a Canes fan I love it because this is what you have to do in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Montreal they aren’t an overly physical team outside of Anderson and Xhekaj; only the Avs, Stars, and Sabres average less hits per game than Canadians in the playoffs. The Canadians can still make this a series if they stop playing scared and turning the puck over simply because they are getting elite goaltending while the Canes are getting average goaltending but if the Habs continue to play with the yips and either Andersen steps up or Dobes regresses then this series could end in five.
    • I guessed Andy Reid too on that Price is Right. As if I had any idea….
    • Yet I bet you he still is able to pressure him. I guess it depends on your bottom line evaluation of what Bryce is. In my opinion he is low hanging fruit for anyone with even a D game.
