Richardson at 1.  Not a fan of that. Also, think TE comes earlier.

Pick No. 1 (First round): Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Pick No. 39 (Second round): Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee

Pick No. 93 (Third round): A.T. Perry, WR, Wake Forest

Pick No. 114 (Fourth round): Zach Harrison, DE, Ohio State

Pick No. 132 (Fourth round): Keaton Mitchell, RB, East Carolina

Pick No. 145: Zack Kuntz, TE, Old Dominion

I’m trusting Reich. There are several drafts in the not so distant past where the QB with the most upside (rather than most polish) ended up being the best player. Rarely (unless it’s a combo of upside and polish like Luck or Lawrence) does the most polished QB end up being the best.

Cam was far from the most polished.

Josh Allen and Jackson were way less polished than Baker and as sick as it is to say..Josh Rosen.

However, there are instances where more polished QBs (Watson) fall behind less polished (Trubisky). You don’t want to be Ryan Pace and reach for Trubisky when you have Watson staring you in the face. That’s the issue. That’s the reason Idt we pass on Young.

That's not terrible even with the huge risk Richardson is as the top pick. I'd replace the RB with a guard or tackle. The Oline needs a lot of depth. I'd probably take a TE instead of Harrison as well.

Ok I know exactly what happened here. The Panthers are a small market team that isn’t that popular, so they are mocking the two top QBs to other teams and gave us the long term project QB who we could have had at 9. Yeah not appreciating that crap.

If you check out my mock draft thread you’ll see we had a big discussion about Kuntz and I’m warming up to him. Also I will always have us taking one of the top two QBs in the draft unlike the pandering USA Today.

Yeah there is just no way we're going to be able to agree on all these players. We're bound to disagree. Like I don't want to take a slot receiver with that pick, but the next fan may may love the pick. It just depends.

    • It will be really interesting to see how both sides handle this. I'm sure the team would love to get him signed to a 4 year deal based on his output so far and some potential factored in, i.e. something like a 4 year $30 million contract.  But I could see his agent telling him the best path is to take the one year offer, put up a big year next year and then really cash in. The team also has to keep in mind T-Mac's 2nd contract, which likely will happen after the 2027 season assuming he keeps improving as expected.  Even if we could get him on a budget 4 year deal for what he could become, the problem then becomes when he wants to re-negotiate in 2 years during the same summer we will extend T-Mac, and you don't want to spend that much on WRs in one offseason, just see the Bengals this last year. Taking everything into consideration, I'm thinking the 1 year deal and then getting him to sign a 4-5 year deal after hopefully say a 800ish yard season next year might be best for our cap situation and separate his and T-Mac's negotiation periods.
    • And yet jax made it no further than we did, and its very possible the Pats don't either. I think it speaks more to the overall down year for the nfl as far as having great/dominant teams, every team this year has fatal flaws that can be exploited
    • Ehhh I agree the nfc is stronger this year but their really werent any truly dominant teams this year everyone is flawed, I think the narrative for the NFL this year will to try ahd force a Josh Allen SB win
