30 TD last 3 years?  Someone is complaining about this signing,  sigh

Sanders had the 5th highest rushing yards in the whole NFL along with 11 TDs and many bitached HARDCORE about having to fork over 6.2 per for that..........

Some of them are not thinking at all......

Did you know delohomey was going to be the starter and thee guy for the coming years??

I give you Stephen davis and ricky prohel, who were the others?? Plus this was a big hit cause they got to the SB, before I dont think it was thought of as "this group will get the panthers to the superbowl". Nor do I think the 23' group is, but upgrades around and they did add talent, for which the panthers lacked.

If you were smart, couldnt said 1995...

Skirt remains up, cause I still feel this years class is better than 03.

I can judge 2003 because it happened. I saw us go from a 7-9 team to an 11-5 team.

Jake Delhomme is without question our greatest free agent signing. You're just typing to type. Probably drunk.

I think people feel it's an overpay for a guy who isn't a no 1 on a team with no WR.

He's no spring chicken so others have complained about his age and decline in production.

Fair complaints, but it's a bit nitpicky. He's a very good addition on paper.

Jake gave this franchise something it needed at the time and that was hope. I would venture to say half the fan base wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for 17.

Well thats cheating cause we know the result. I talking in terms of when it first happened. Again no one on earth thought delhommie was going to be that guy. Be just as crazy to feel that about Dalton getting on bradys secret sauce and becomes god-like.

Evans and walhe and maybe 95 a decent case. who else was with jake, rick, and steve? I may take it back....Looking over 95 and signing a whole team, I think that was the best now......but thats different too.

Stop quoting the $25 million.  We are obviously not paying a 35/36 year old Thielen $9 million. This is very likely a 2 year $14 million contract effectively, with the last year thrown in for cap purposes. It's essentially a foregone conclusion that he'll be cut after 2 years. I'm guessing the last year has around an $8 million cap savings if cut, with a dead cap of only $2.5 million.

Overall a solid signing in a position of desperation. Hopefully he'll serve as a strong mentor and rub off on the young guys like TMJ and Shi Smith too.

Please tell me he just turned 32...

A 3 year deal for a 33 year old WR makes no sense. But when we are desperate for WR help I get it.

Trade for Hopkins and I like this move even more.

You mean the guy which turns 31-years in under three months?  They are only two years apart.
