The CRA logic: because these not-even-crazy things happened, that means literally anything is a possibility.  We gave a mediocre Ian Thomas a decent sized extension, therefore what if we cut Brian Burns and sign Nicole Tepper to play DE?  IT'S POSSIBLE.  Oh you think we won't draft a long-snapper with the 1st overall pick?? Well I present to you Exhibit A: we took a CB in the top 10 of the draft.....A CORNERBACK.  Anything is possible.

Think About It GIF by Identity

(Just remember that this time last year, he swore we were drafting Kenny Pickett at #8).

My mother-in-law had instilled in my wife the belief that if she could think it. It could happen. I will say that life is never boring around those people.

As an aside, My favorite recent quote was "Never say never. I never say..." Priceless. Things you think of in the middle of the night.

As is the fact you're clinging to rumors and speculation.

Schefter, betting line, canceled visit.

Nothing factual but see we shall...I have a feeling you may be disappointed soon enough

Are you one of those, keep the receipts, kinda guys? I honestly don't know how you folks do it. I have a hard enough time keeping up with folks with whom I actually want to converse. Let alone adding...how many other meaningless souls? Sheew, that seems like a whole lotta work I tell ya what.

Makes sense the day we traded for the number one pick the front office put out that we were willing to trade back because we had two QB we were interested in so it is plausible. Anthony Richardson ceiling is a lot higher than any quarterback in this draft after the Baker Mayfield incident I can’t see, drafting a shorter quarterback.

This dude has been pretty accurate, pair him with all the other insiders and such, it’s pretty obvious who the pick will be. Unless Texans give us an offer we can’t refuse.

Lance Zierline.  NFL.com draft analysts and has a Show on ESPN Houston.

said yesterday that Houston is trying to Shop pick 2 but having a hard time.  And “the league isn’t as high on Stroud as the media and fans.”

Oh yeah, the chances are real, real low.

    • But that would run counter to a lot of basic logic.  Frank Reich largely had an ideal QB he had worked with…and Reich world people were beating that drum loudly during the draft process that CJ Stroud fit what Frank would want/need.  And reporting also was signaling there was a split in house and Tepper wanted Young. We ended up with Young.
    • There's more to coaching than play calling, even down on the field. Madden isn't going to simulate how your WR1 had a big fight with his wife the night before the game and is stiff from sleeping on the couch. It's not going to simulate that the fight was because the QB's wife was flirting with the WR and now, because she went full on ballistic that the QB now knows about it. It's not going to simulate that questionable bucket of wings your o-line shared three hours before the game is now causing cramps and gas. It's also not going to simulate the real wear and tear of the season and how about December even the moderately good teams are about halfway spending their brain power on picking their January vacation destinations. But for a video game, it's pretty good.
    • Last Madden I played was 17, got this for like 10-12 bucks a few months ago and its a great improvement imo. I havent had to touch the sliders much.
