Maybe but I doubt it. If he was going to do it he should get ahead of it.

If I were him I’m not worried about it. Young isn’t even drafted yet.

I’m sure his focus is on rehabbing that foot, and preparing to show his value to a new staff in training camp.

The "Carolina Huddle" the eyes and ears of the NFL. LOL 🙂

It is a tremendous burden, but when I watch NFL Now or Path to the Draft, etc. I think, "We already knew that..." or something to that effect.  We are a reliable source of nawlige and wisdumb.

okay but the whole point of the original comment was in a scenario where Young is here

I am thinking like Scott Fitterer here, not MHS:  "Sure, I would take first rounders to give up on Young and take Stroud or AR---if you give me picks #2 and #12 this year--I would do it.  That is unlikely, so we are going with the guy who made us move up in March--Bryce"  And I do not think Ryans or the Texans would do it.  He is a defensive-minded coach and he does not see bringing in a QB to pilot a ship that is still under construction. (based on his recent presser).

I'm fairly certain (without any sources) that the Texans are the ONLY team we're considering trading with. And that caveat includes us being happy with either Bryce or Young.

Okay but you said “he should get ahead of it” like it’s a lock we take Young.

Hypothetically if we took Young, number 2 is just sitting there. Makes too much sense.

I’ve addressed how easy it is if we took Young, but also why he hasn’t gotten “ahead of it.”

It’s not a Clausen/Cam thing. Corral isn’t attached to 9 unless he’s nostalgic over getting no reps last year and playing in almost one full preseason game in #9.

I think they've locked in on Bryce and he will be the pick.

I thought from the get go the Panthers would select Bryce Young # 1 and then it seemed to swing to C.J. Stroud, who I liked, now most seem to think it is pointed back to Young.

This has been almost enough to make ones head spin.

It’s not about nostalgia, it’s about Matt corral having a pair. Clauses didn’t wear 2 at notre dame. He wasn’t attached to it. He didn’t give it up because hes still a grown man.

If one takes time to do some filtering out, there is a ton of good information shared here on the Huddle.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
