I like Fitt but he's notoriously bad at hiding his hand/lying lmao. The only thing that would finally convince me that he's gotten better at not doing is if somehow the pick is not Bryce next week.

He can't be as bad as Josh McCown at keeping a secret. Neither one should ever play poker.

Bro is on a press run right now, unless I’m trippin.. isn’t he the only one all in the media right now? Come on man lol ended his visits and started going on ESPN and sports podcast. Something is up..

The NFL sees $$$ with him.

Havent seen a more marketable QB in a long long time.

If the kid lives up to the hype, he’ll be the face of the league.

True true. If CJ cancelled his visits to be on First Take and whatever there would be some vey upset people on the internet!

Nah. I watched enough to know it’s a bad idea based on height weight lack of arm strength and what he has to do to compensate for the issues. On top of the fact that he’s not fast, or overly athletic. He’s a bit of razzle dazzle in the pocket, and against the 3-4 tough SEC teams that gets it done, in the NFL, it won’t work. Sad that our staff both scouting and coaching can’t see that. I really expected more, and that’s the most disappointing thing.

Agree 100. I thought more of the people brought in, but let’s remember they haven’t done it yet. Can’t charge them with thinking stupidly, they have to act.

Damn I responded to you before but..

I hadn’t seen this. How many nail in the coffin moments does everyone need.

I thought Smitty had some intel at Bryce’s pro day. How early he was with Mayfield showed me he knew enough when telling Bryce he wanted his autograph. Everybody talking about Steve supporting “lil man syndrome”.. but he was totally against Heisman winner Baker. He is a fan of us and to my knowledge he hasn’t been wrong about who would do well for our team.

Asked about Tepper, Fitterer reiterated that he plays a "support role" but that he's not making the decision. He's leaving the final choice to Reich and Fitterer.

And amen to that 😑

Seems Tepper is a quick learner and man enough to admit his mistakes.

He learned a valuable lesson from the Rhule disaster and is doing it the right way as an NFL owner by taking a support role and  relying on Reich and Fitterer to make important roster decisions.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
