*apparently false scores leaked* STROUD SCORES 18% ON S2 TEST (or maybe not)

It was said somewhere that it’s similar to IQ where you’re stuck with it and it’s not like a traditional test where you can study to improve your scores. Apparently it tends to stay in a 5 point variable.

that's incorrect

also IQ tests are worthless

Stroud is a Human Development and Family Sciences major. Both have majored in very good areas.

When I was in college, all the athletes did Family sciences because it was the easiest major.

I understand some of these "tweeters" may be legit,,  But this is pretty much 3rd or even 4th hand.

I bet you get 50% percentile for signing your name lol,

It's sorta like the report of Farris Bueller being sick,,
"  Uhm, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

If his score is that much better, I hope he addresses this.

I guess this is why Stroud visited the Falcons. I’m starting to think he will fall to the third QB taken.
But we should be thrilled with Young’s score. What a prospect! This is, far and away, the greatest off-season in this franchise’s history. What a bright future!

There has been a lot of chatter about Bryce Young having taken this test every year since HS or w/e, but I'd have to imagine every one of these aspiring NFL QBs has taken this test multiple times before the official registered one, no?  Why would you want your first time taking the test to be the official one that gets released to NFL teams? That'd be nuts. It would be akin to knowing you're running the 40 at the Combine and being like "whatever let's just see what happens, I don't need to try it beforehand".

Is this exam something that's not accessible to most of these QBs?  Like Bryce had some special "in" to be able to take it all these years ahead of time?

Exactly.

You will get mostly the same results each time, because mental, on the spot processing is really hard to improve.

you literally improve "mental, on the spot processing" every single moment of every single day

that is what your brain does every time you look at something, or you hear something, you touch something, you react to something.

you are talking about a very well understood concept called neuroplasticity and the ability for your brain to create neuronal connections.

I won't bore you with actual neurologic details but ask yourself this: can you not improve at a video game?

I know we have heard that this is a good predictor for the QB position but I would be interested if any high level QBs in the NFL have a score that low.

That seems *really* low, albeit this was a test I hadn't heard of until a few weeks ago.

That being said I've made my peace that we're drafting Bryce and I'm excited for the future of CAR football.

It may be one of those things that really only means a lot if you score REALLY low, kind of like the wonderlic. If you’re above a certain threshold maybe you’re just splitting hairs.

Man, it looks like this score is probably true.  With it, I'm officially off the Stroud train. (I was still kind of hoping we get an excellent trade back offer from the Texans, and we draft Stroud at 2).  I would have been off had his score been 60%.  18%???  HOT D@MN!!!!!!!!!!

I will still root for CJ on wherever he gets drafted.  This score will make me root for him even more to bring down the test as much as Brock Purdy seemed to have lifted it up.  Once again, if I were an agent to any top QB prospect (and perhaps all prospects because I think other position players take this test), I would tell them DO NOT TAKE THIS TEST!!!  CJ Stroud may fall to the later first round after this one, if not out of the first altogether.  Don't tell me it won't happen.  These teams aren't playing around with stuff like this.

It's really hard to improve your score for this test. You will get mostly the same results each time, because mental, on the spot processing is really hard to improve. I would say that they had him take the test several times to see if there was growth, but it sounds like there wasn't.

Yeah it's more just me trying to understand why people use that argument to diminish Young.  "Oh of course he scored well, he's been taking it every year since High School!".  Either it's really hard to improve your score, thus him taking it multiple times has a negligible impact...or taking the test repeatedly does have an impact on your score, thus all the other QBs are foolish for not putting in the effort to practice taking this exam leading up to the draft.
