NFLPA: Field at Carolina in Week 16 maxed out the hardness scale

In case it's not obvious (for many reasons other than this), the NFL values MONEY above all. If player safety issues threaten that in any significant way, it will be addressed. Otherwise, it's press on and build stacks.

If that kind of stuff happens then the NFLPA, as a union, needs to step in and prevent the players from playing the game. Full stop. You can't say "This field is so unsafe, they can't play on it!" and then immediately let them play on it. Actually do something about it. Hit the NFL where it hurts, their wallets, to prevent another situation happening like that again. Call for the game to be postponed until the field is up to par and don't let the players play under those circumstances. Y'know, actually be a union. If that ever happens and the NFL, let alone Tepper, lose out on some money, you best believe we're getting grass reinstalled posthaste.

Still can't believe that Tepper installed turf in Charlotte.  Inexcusable in my opinion.

Hoping even without league intervention forced by players that Tepper decides to spend some $ and go back to grass to save face here and for good PR. Not expecting it though.

It was an outlier. Charlotte won't see temps like that again in Dec in a decade if ever. You're not going to install a pricey heating system for a southern team lol. That's just bananas. Man up.
