How would you overcome youngs shortcomings since you can't read...

His opinion is Young’s arm strength is inadequate. I disagree. He also thought Cam wasn’t a good draft prospect and made McNabb look like Manning. I also disagree with that.
You even posted a video about him being right about Manziel. Don’t get mad when I show articles where he was wrong as well. I’m just glad we didn’t listen to him and drafted Cam, aren’t you?

Ok you obviously missed the point. Work on reading comprehension

I think I got it, the guy called one pick right and we should listen to him on all. My point is there are details that have to be looked at that contributed to Johnny’s downfall. Didn’t mean to trigger you.

Care to share how you would scheme around a qb with less that ideal arm strength and not being able to stand tall in the pocket? How about when he gets up there in the years do you think he will be an elite qb when whatever physical skills he has diminish..I'm interested to know or all you can do is post links and poo all day

To be fair, Tom Brady’s arm is not the strongest

Neither  was Brees.

For what it’s worth, here’s what Merrill and others said about Newton

The thing about this is, if someone sees something that disagrees with a preconception they have arrived at, no one validates the question. There is no respect for a dissenting opinion. Everything is personalized. HATERS!

I don't think I had one person respond to a specific criticism I formed from watching Young's pro day. The couple that did, were not on the "Bryce" wagon. No one that is a Bryce, just the first name (like you are a dues paying fan club member), no one rebutted. They made comments, sometimes asserting how great he was, but no one addressed the thing I posted about. That was weeks ago. It hasn't changed.

I see it with others. The user tuka something something has voiced well articulated concerns that go ignored or if they are rebutted it is with I don't even know what...just different degrees of dismissive attitudes. But no engaging the points. There are excellent observations that merit discussion and consideration but he is just wasting his time, really. Like I am, doing this, I realize. Enough. Enjoy the draft.

We took a 6’5 250lb megatron back in 2011. Where is he at now? Oh yeah, not playing; And Cam is my favorite QB in the world.  So why not give this guy a shot? Injuries are unpredictable and can happen to anyone.  Bryce is smart, with a good head on his shoulders. I think he will adjust like he’s always done.  I’d rather try and fail than see Bryce tearing it up in someone else’s jersey every Sunday.  You can’t knock the ball out of the park if you never take a big swing.

If most posters on here want to have an honest discussion about something there isn’t usually a problem. Goat boy has just been spamming the past week and poo posting. That being said, it’s the night before the fuging draft and pretty much everybody is burnt out on this poo. You act like we should still be debating these QBs like we’re at the scouting combine. How about stop being whiny buzzkills and enjoy the draft. We have the #1 pick and some of you are acting like it’s a fuging funeral honestly just stfu and stop making these stupid threads.

Is that really the case? Or you call it spamming because its going against the grain? How is this any different from someone making threads everytime somebody in the media says that they think the panthers are picking Young the last couple weeks? Hypothetically, lets say we knew for a FACT that they were picking Will Levis number 1 tomorrow night, this place would be unbearable right now with everybody making negative threads because NOBODY wants that to happen. Everybody would be a buzzkill technically because they dont agree with the decision. Whats going on here is the opposite, but you have a minority that dont agree with the decision and just making it known because everybody voices their opinion on here anyway but the majority do and just want them to stay silent. Merril hoge has credibility so i dont see the problem with this thread, and he gave valid reasons to back it up. Who tf cares if the majority of analyst feel differently, they also felt differently when he said Clowney wasnt gonna live up to the hype who went number 1 overall too. The point is you cant call something stupid because it doesnt fit your opinion, siting concerns about said player and how they can be improved is not being whiny or acting like its a funeral. How about you just ignore the thread and go on about your way and stop given stupid responses when every thread isnt worshipping Bryce young.

Difference is we have A more competent staff and GM now than we did then. If cam had this staff and front office…there’d be no doubt he’d still be playing and would be a HOFer without question.

Lol it be the same group everytime too, it doesn't bother me. They say what they want but it's the internet and at the end of the day we panther fans so whoever it is we hope can win it all. But the environment here has been crazy when you don't go all out for young..

    • Today, we are all Kucci... I miss our feral Russian attack goalie!
    • That was a good segment. Watched every minute of it and would highly recommend it to all fans.
    • "So much of what the Panthers are going to do next week isn't dictated by their preference, but by what happens above them. That's another benefit of not getting locked into need. For instance, if you're thinking you want a receiver, seeing five or six of them go off the board and reacting by taking the sixth or seventh off your list instead of the first (or second or third) something else isn't necessarily wise." https://www.panthers.com/news/ask-the-old-guy-back-into-the-weeds-of-the-nfl-draft-bryce-young-charlotte-hornets-mock-draft This is what some don't seem to get, I don't care how many times it is said: You're NOT going to draft an inferior person at one position, just because that position is perceived as, or is in fact, a bigger need. That would basically nullify, or at least lessen, the reason why you set yourself up via free agency to be able to take the BPA/BAP on the board in the first place.  Yes, the process is complex, very much involved and ongoing, but the overall philosophy is not rocket science. You set yourself up in order not to be pigeonholed into taking a lower graded player at the expense of a higher graded one. This is why Morgan, Gantt and countless of others say the same thing. This is why it's just nonsensical to set yourself in a position where you don't have to, but then act like you have to come hell or high water: "Oh, we have to draft [whatever position], and we can't draft [this position]."  I'm good with whatever they do, until proven otherwise, but even then, you have to be mature enough to know that drafting is an imperfect exercise, filled with hits and misses. And, you generally don't know if you've hit, and especially missed, right away. Moreover, like I've said before, sometimes two players--different positions or not--can both be hits on their respective teams, so in that sense, it's not purely about a right or wrong pick as much as it's about putting puzzle pieces together at the time the best way that you know how.  At the end of the day, people are going to believe what they want to believe, but one thing that's true is that what the Panthers do regarding the draft is dependent upon what others do, and what others do can and does change things. That being the case, it's just another reason why you can't go in with tunnel vision. The thought of doing that is preposterous.
